Was a tough trade to make, moving a lot of quality young pieces, but we really wanted Couturier. He was a top target for us and he'll be a big building block.

Couturier is just an awesome young two-way center. He's big with and off the chart defensive game. Will be a selke caliber center for years for us. Also lots of offensive upside, great hockey IQ, very good vision and playmaker, solid shot. Monahan and Couturier will be an awesome one two punch at the center position. We are looking to develop Klimchuk-Couturier-Poirier to be our 2nd line of the future. A line that will shutdown others teams top line, while bringning a lot of offense, can play physical too.

Gostisbehere is a high upside defenseman propsect. An offemsive minded defenseman, he's very solid on the power play. Also has the ability to develop into a good two-way defenseman with his hockey IQ and skating abilities.

Manning is a young defenseman who showed good potential earlier in his career. He's big, physical, hits and can fights. Decent offensive game and two-way game. Hopefully a change of scenary with us will help him to found his game back and help to reach his potential.
