As a Canucks fan I hope that tournament acts as a coming out party and springboard for better things as our pipeline is horrible right now.

This kid has exceeded expectations IMO. Strong skater, and he plays a very smart defensive game. He has top 4 upside IMO, but the thing is his game continues to grow.

Easy pick for them. Vancouver knew really well what an Elias Petterson can do in the NHL.

This is the new age defensive Dman who can skate and move the puck. Excellent pick and exactly what Vancouver’s defence needs. Should take over for OEL in a couple of years when he’s bought out.

I'd put more stock on his year than those 7 games. Still an unfinished product, but definitely exceeded his draft position's expectations. Doesn't happen to this franchise enough.

This is a guy everyone needs to keep an eye on. I really didn't think much of him when he was drafted, but he's grown so much since being drafted.

He's a big defenseman, who can skate, with good IQ. Canucks got a good one here, can't wait to find out who was the scout who discovered him (looking at Gradin).

He is tracking to become a defensive shutdown top 4 defenseman. Defenseman with size, skating, physicality, and IQ/awareness almost always project to be top 4 defenseman. If any one these traits are lacking, then simply put, they’re not.

Not many 18 year olds are trusted to be a defensive specialist at the SHL level. When an 18 year old kid is the toughest, most physical player on the ice against men, there’s a lot more underneath.
