Nope, he's a late 98 birthday. Just 1 game on a professional contract this season would start his waivers clock & leave him exposed to the expansion draft.

Sorry, I knew he was in that age bracket but I was looking at incorrect information as to how that applies to players that age.

Just clowning in the game today. So much better than anyone it boggles the mind.
That defensive back check where the Harvard player got in a breakaway. Makar seemed like he wasn't even trying lmao it looked way too easy to strip the puck away

That was pretty sick - I really hope the Avs can get Kakko or something this year and then come in with Makar/Kakko/TImmins to supplement the current team.

Secondary scoring and better D can make this team a contender.

They need a 2c badly, luckily for them this draft is tailor made for it and the consolation would be KK.

With Timmins injury we will have to wait and see if how he ends up coming back from that but he's likely still a year and a half off from making a real impact.

To stay on thread though, getting to see Q Hughes last night and Makar today was so much fun. There are some fun fun players coming into the league.

He was everywhere yesterday. Perfect example of why he is considered the best prospect in hockey. He really looks like he doesn’t belong there. At this level it is like watching Orr, especially defensively, someone gets behind him, he catches up in a few strides, gently lifts the stick and off to the races we are. Obviously he is nowhere as good as #4, but in terms of style he reminds me off him. Quick, electric, recovers easily when beat, smart, reads the play like few can, physical, great lower body strenght.

Makar vs Hughes will be very interesting to watch next season. They are the poster children for the new age defenseman.

just back from the game in Manchester, that kid is something. He looks like a man playing with boys. Several fantastic plays on both ends of the ice.

Didn't know who he was yesterday, but when I saw him fly back and break up Donato's breakaway with ease I had to look him up!!

He's currently ranked the best prospect in hockey almost everywhere.
