Hard start to a season for czech and slovak prospects lol.

NHL is biased surely, thats only logical explanation ;)
I think Nemec is on a tremendous team with great D and can't get a foothold. However, I think not playing Nemec at NHL level is a stupid move.

I think Jiricek is on a shitshow of a team with a weaker D squad (after the big 3) and isn't doing enough. I don't like how Colubmus is run (Babcock comes to mind) or that they don't play him anywhere. He seems to constantly be watching the sport like you and I.lol

Last year, Nemec was winning. This year, Jiricek is in NHL and Nemec in AHL. It's all weird to me. I do get that D take longer and patience is needed. But if your opponent for ice time is Jack f***en Johnson and you're in the press box.. something is wrong.

Yeah he is great. I always said that he is capable of multiple ppg seasons if given enough space, hope he proves it. Its a huge shame though that Boston sucks so far this year and Pasta in not on top of his game. It would be amazing to watch those two battle for most productive czech in NHL. Well maybe next year lol.

I still think Pasta wins the Czech scoring race.

My dream was Necas to Bruin's. My god would that have been amazing.

Klapka got the call up.. back in NHL for at least 8 more minutes!

So what do you think about Tomasek and Kovarcik? I know they are both older 27-28 but they are having just a phenomenal season so far lol.

You think they will get a NHL contract this year and will try it in NA?

Someone was saying in another thread on this website yesterday that they've never seen a player that "gets blown up" more than Ryan Leonard. I'd actually disagree. Chytil is the worst I've seen. It's a shame because he's a very good hockey player, but he plays too reckless.

His on ice awareness causes a lot of these issues. He needs to adjust how he plays, if he ever gets back on the ice. He has a flaw in his skating stride. He's too crouched down, and susceptible to getting surprised by contact.

Kulich playing tonight! Ivan still in lineup despite some returning players.

Jenik, Klapka, Blumel and Kral continue to perish in AHL.lol

Jiricek situation is bad all around. It seems toxic at this point.lol

I think at least twice it was a really unfortunate injury. But otherwise you're probably right, you see him play much more often.

Happy with all of them to be honest. They aren't starting Vejmelka enough and he's at .921. Not sure what more he can do? Dostal is Vezina calibre for now but it won't last as Anaheim is rebuilding. Vanecek has weaker stats but he's in SJ and he got hurt.. hoping he gets traded to my Oilers to be honest. Mrazek has been awesome everytime I tune in. Ritiich with 6 wins and 10 GP is such a nice comeback! He has our worst stats and most wins... just shows how much impract the team has on goalie stats!

Vrana with his 4th goal of the season... he now was 7 points in 14 games which may seem low BUT he only gets 10 minutes TOI.

For fun here are the top scorers with TOI at 10

Get him some more ice time please! He's earned it.

Yes, I do. Hoping for a Kucherov/Kaprizov type situation to be honest.

sine you're a rangers' fan and I assume you watch the rangers a lot.
do you know why he always hurt?
Is it because of strength? Or the way he plays?
It's the way he plays.

His skating stride is very hunched over. He's leaning down. He looks down a lot, not up. He obviously just learned bad habits, and now he needs to learn to have his head up more of the time. He gets "blown up" or "blindsided" with hits more than any player I've seen. His on ice awareness is not good.

Some of it is bad luck. I don't want to blame everything on him. For instance, a teammate elbowing you in the head is bad luck, but the way he plays makes him more susceptible to these injuries than other players.

He needs to learn to skate around the ice in a way where he's more aware of his surroundings, and I think that starts with adjusting his stride to not be so hunched over.

Bit off topic, but right now we have Tomasek leading the SHL scoring, Vozenilek leading the NLA scoring and Kovarcik being close 2nd in Liiga scoring.

If we also count ELH, then in all 4top euro leagues, there is a Czech player in top3 scoring. Our euro squad looking good this year lol.

And that doesn't include Euro high end guys like Zboril, Hajek, Kaut, Zadina and Kubalik. And, no, that isn't sarcasm. It's looking great in Europe.
