Kulich doing that thing where he wires it through a goalie from range -

Rousek doing that thing where he has a yawning cage so now he's flirting with a 50% shooting percentage in the playoffs (he also had an empty netter):

Funny thing here... Videos are circulating of Hasek packing up his Nagano gear and such.. putting them in a shopping cart and tossing them into the back of his car.lol

No joke

They closed the Czech Hall of Fame because it was too expensive to run and this was how they resolved the memorabilia issue.lol

I've been to the Hall of Fame and liked it but it was obviously small and it wasn't busy. Did like it though and registered a 100km/h slapper there.hah

This has Hadamczak written all over it to me! Saving money while not developing Jr players or leagues.

Lojza in action again. He only understands balance sheets and cost cutting. Good job he is in charge.. A thoroughly negative personality in absolutely every sense of the word.

Yes. Generally I’d hire Lojza if I wanted to do something to someone I hate….and therein lies the whole problem with his personality and his lack of suitability to his current job.

Yup... He'd be a great divorce lawyer.

Kulich and Rousek had a great run, making it to the Eastern Conference Final before being ousted by the Hershey Bears. I'm looking forward to where they both wind up on the big club next year.

Nejen Krejčí. Komu z Čechů po sezoně vyprší kontrakt v NHL? | Hokej.cz - web českého hokeje

UFA - Gudas, Kase, Nosek, Krejci, Kampf, rittich and Zohorna

Krejci would be a huge loss for us... 50-50.
Gudas will get overpaid
Kampf will get a nice contract
Nosek will get 1 or w years
Rittich will get a 1 year gig

Zohorna most likely Europe
Kase to extraliga to become our best Euro Czech forward if he can stay healthy

RFA
Kaut 50-50
Dostal ... 💯
Lauko 90 percent
Hajek 50-50
Patera 100 but maybe not LV
Jenik 50-50
Kral 70-30
Rousek 50-50 unfortunately

Basically... I think we are losing more guys that we are gaining unfortunately m. Europe will be stronger which is good with Prague coming up.

Well... f***!

Let me get this straight... Sharks gave kaut a contract and he is returning to extraliga. He had an NHL offer... Why leave?

Zadina had 2 years and 4 mill and has agreed to terminate his contract. He may get another NHL deal.

Hajek, Kral and galvas are not in the NHL in any capacity today.

This is a big chunk of guys that I thought would be part of a bronze generation for us. Ouch.

Our Prague world's team is going to be awesome.lol

Probably not with Kaut I'm not counting (Hajek.., the Chance league is definitely not championship levelin the lineup:laugh:). Except that... In fact, maybe the engagement in Pardubice can help him in his career. Pardubice have a great team, Varaďa was a bad coach in the U20s, but he was excellent in the club. In the form in which he was at the last championship, he does not have the slightest right to make the lineup. There will definitely be players in better shape (maybe just better players..?). But maybe in a year he will be a much better player. I wish he could, but I don't believe it;)

Praying to hockey gods Zadina pulls Tage Thompson style revival, they have nearly identical stats, otherwise czech 2018 draft class is going to be one of the biggest failures in czech hockey history.

Vinnie Prospal joining he Amerks' staff in Rochester and will be coaching Rousek and Kulich as an assistant this year.
Wow! Would be great to get some Czechs in NHL coaching positions one day again.

Also, hoping those two are in NHL!

I didn't think Detroit did a poor job with him. Hopefully his second chance works out. Zacha went through it and survived. Necas did too. Kaut did not. Let's see what happens...

The problem is that Zadina doesn't seem to have improved his performance against those two, at least not significantly. Zacha often looked like one of the best players on the ice in the NJ jersey, there is no need to talk about Nečas, for example, he was always a top player in skating.
Detroit was one of the weakest teams in the league and was still on the edge of the lineup. And it is movement that is Zadina's biggest problem, just like with Kaut.
The probability of his career taking off in the direction we'd like it to be.. 5%? I don't know if it's possible to estimate it with numbers, but I really refuse to lie about Czech players.

Well Filip Kral is leaving NHL pursuit. Signed in Liiga in Pelicans. So both our prospective nhl Ds we thought have what it takes to be in the NHL (Galvas, Kral) are back in Europe sadly. To clarify I am not counting the very young guys like Jiricek, Svozil, Spacek etc. into that list. It was meant out of the guys already in AHL and being a bit older.

So both are back in Europe, that sucks on one hand, but on the other hand we got two young and quality Ds available for NT basically all the time.

I was hoping one of Galvas/Kral would make it full time eventually, and they still could in the future I guess. But I don't hate their decision, unlike Kaut (whose decision I am really not a fan of), they weren't nearly guaranteed some NHL time, could have been another full season in the AHL. At least we get some quality young defensemen in Europe and maybe we will finally see the end of slugs like Jordan at the international level. Also, SHL/Liiga + international play will probably lead to more progess than AHL/borderline NHL would. Good examples being Hajek and Zboril, once top prospects, who are now pretty much useless despite still 'sticking' around at the NHL level.

Mixed bag of news.. ondrej Kase is back to extraliga.. if he can stay healthy then great! He should be top 5 there and a lock for world's. However, I will be nervous everytime I watch him and think retirement may have been the way to go.

Dostal signed for two years! First year is 2 way which was a shock and second year is 1 way under a million. He may be the most underpaid goalie in the NHL!

Not happy about 2 way in year one. He should be the starter after Gibson trade.
