You mean the Gredig call? I think that calling both players would have been the right decision. Gredig was fully deserving of his 2' but if you ever wanna call an embellishment you have to call it there. Wasn't necessarily a dive but he was clearly selling/milking it the hard way.

The delayed penalty on the third goal. Guy dropped like he got shot by an RPG in the back.

Eh. Maybe. Not a dive in my view though. I'm more upset about the call that led to the 2nd goal. Yeah, Gredig was dumb enough to wrap his arms around but that was clearly a milked call. Nice bit of acting involved.

I'm not 100% the score is relfective of the game. Swiss have had some great looks. Hrabal has been outstanding. Our 1st line needs rejigging. And I don't mean benching Sale becuase he's not carrying Masta to a .ppg. Get Kos, Jecho or Stancl up there.

Thrilled with a lead. Thrilled Hrabal is playing great. Galvas has been very noticeable. Ecstatic Jiricek is playing for us as that was a big question mark. Feel like we are rolling the lines well. All 3 PP's looked good. PK has been fine. Some major gaffes but Hrabal keeps saving us.

He probably meant the delayed call before the 3-0. But that looked like a clear cross-check for me. Some overreacting maybe but not a dive.

The issue is there are a hundred cross checks a game by definition. Heck there was one two seconds before the one that was called. There’s only a handful that are forcible enough to affect a play. There’s only one every 5-10 games to make someone drop that hard in open ice. It was clear embellishment. If we want that in the game then I guess we will agree to disagree.

It’s just a weird mixture of lines. Lucky to be up 3-0..

Hats off to Swiss. If they play like this rest of tournament they could be real problem for anybody.

The Swiss PPs have been quite 'meh' so far, Czech PKs, on the other hand, very good and confident. Maštalířský is a great penalty killer, really reminds me of Tomáš Rolinek, the former Czech men's team captain. Overall, Czechia improved the neutral zone coverage in the 2nd period, not so many easy transitions for the Swiss like in the first. Switzerland's forwards have been looking a bit awkward on attacking zone passes sometimes when facing a well positioned defense. But the game is still far from one-sided or decided.

The Reber line doesn't have to be the topline but down three goals it should be because it's the lone scoring line. Also, I get that they hate Braillard but down three goals you have to lean on him. Outside of the Reber line and Johnson he's the guy who can make stuff happen.

On the PP, the Reber line plus Braillard and Johnson should have played for 90+ seconds at least.

I watched one pre-tournament game and looked at some stats and it already seems obvious that that should be the top PP unit lol

Yeah. It's honestly a pretty even game. Czechia deserves to have a lead but they're lucky to be up by 3. The first goal for Czechia was a beauty. Nice play by Galvas and an excellent deflection by Holinka.

Czechia scored two goals because of controversial calls against Switzerland though and one of them was pure luck as the puck went off both Swiss defensemen.
