Good game so far. Not a lot of scoring chances, more like a chess match in the neutral zone, but both teams are playing with high intensity. Has been a very physical one so far, including some fearless shot blocks.

I had the same impression until I watched a few of his games.

Yup. If it’s your first time watching him he seems jittery and unorthodox, but it’s kind of his style when you get used to watching him. He almost like bounces around on his toes in net, it’s a peculiar trait.

His athleticism is bar none his best trait along with his puck tracking and rebound control. He’s got really, really good rebound control most games.

He gobbles up 2 on 1 cross seam pass one timers that go in on most goalies with ease with his athleticism and tracking.

Agianst Sweden, Czechs were gunning and looked great for 30 minutes... and legendarily awful for the other 30. This is a much sounder strategy.

We have 2 potential first round D right now... Svozil for the next draft and Jiricek (the hit) for the 2022 draft. Both drafts are a long way away of course but they look good.

CZ good at playing against Russia. Don't know the reason, I think they got super motivation like Russia against Canada/USA + last game against SWE giving more motivation. Game is not easy and last year was very good Russian team and they still lost to CZ in group. But looks like our team understands that and they play as they can.
