Great save... crazy bounce. If we actually do score.. I think it'll be our 3rd line
 
askrov is really not as good as the hype he gets.. makes everything look so hard and awkward .
 
I like this Russian team so far, but I don't think there's enough finish, enough soft hands, here. Would love to be wrong.

I was DYING for my Oil to take him.. I think the Preds are geniuses for getting him. Russia is the new goalie factory.. it's crazy how many goalies they are producing lately. Hell, I'm excited about Konvoalov (sp?) for the Oil.

From what I can tell, Czech strategy is to play ugly and shoot from everywhere and hope for a bounce. This is what they need to do. I can't see this working for 3 periods against Russia though. So far though, good job of clogging it up and being patient.

He almost seems jittery in the net, I’ve probably seen 15-20 or so international games of his now as he’s come up through the years and he’s very unorthodox but outstanding. His athleticism is incredible.

You know who else they said looked unorthodox and made the simple things look overly difficult? Hasek, they said the same about him. Not saying he’ll be as good, but just worth noting.

Askarov is unreal to watch.

As long as they remember they are bottom 5 and Russia is top 5... it should stay close. The minute they open up and try to go 'toe to toe', we are in trouble. We have to play ugly to stick with the Russia's of the hockey world.
