I think our group is going to be a gongshow.. expect some upsets along the way.

it is frustrating for a small hockey nation to mix their Euro players with NHL players so effectively while the Czechs are struggling doing exactly that!

Theoretically possible, but I just don't see that happening at all. The way that they've conducted themselves tonight was inexcusable: stupid penalties (which cost them yesterday's game btw.), no structure, no leadership, sloppy plays, uninspired hockey, almost zero % confidence, etc.

I hope the Swiss win this game tonight, it would be more than well deserved and a reality "czech" for this Czech team.
 
Czech TV rightfully pointing out that we do a good job getting into scoring position.. then shoot a muffin into the goalie equipment. it's true that 'endings' are hard for the Czechs but isn't that what Kubalik, Vrana, Zadina and extraliga sniper Stransky should be solving?

Having the same coach playing the same system for 5 years makes the team gels faster too, the players know what they have to do right away.

The last World's team didn't succeed but there was a real identity to them..

We had the first line that did tile ice and score... I think it was Frolik, Voracek and Simon
We had a second killer line that scored a lot with Kubalik on there
We had this bitchy third line with the Zohorna's

This year I feel like all 3 lines look kind of the same.
 
I think the only new guy to play today that hasn't taken a penalty is Blumel.. so keep an eye out for that! He's next. Nice hat trick of penalties from the new guys!
 
Even when we get a chance... Zohorna there.. Swiss block it. They've shut down their zone beautifully. It's awful hockey to watch and I want to throw my keyboard through a window but great job by the Swiss.
 
That's a bullshit call.. he clearly lifted Chytil's stick into his own face (by accident).

Oh well, it'd been at least 2 minutes without a Swiss PP.lol
 
Hey look.. an NHL goal scorer scoring a goal! Wish we had a few of those NHL snipers...

Curious which NHL players we set for 4th line grinders to send a message next game?
 
I think Smejkal is on top line... so it looks like Vrana is the guy to be punished for all of this.lol Chytil with 2 points is nice!
