I mean commercial breaks are a thing in pretty much every league. I don't love them but it's ridiculous to think a big stage tournament can be without those.

In some countries there are... In countries like Latvia, that's probably the most expensive commercial slot all year long.

For the Swiss guys.. how many players on your roster would make your best on best roster?

For the Czechs it is 5 to 7.

Not a thing in Switzerland yet, and it's ridiculous to have break in play for a non hockey reason. Better to make a bit less money and offer a better experience.

So we bring in Stranksy and Lenc and they both take a dumb penalty in first period.haha

Exactly over the blocker, not much you can do on that one. Looked like a clear offside before the penalty call tough.
 
Great save! Blumel with a great chance off the save at the other end.. Blumel impresses the hell out of me. I keep thinking of a comparable and I think it's Gaetan Haas.
 
Great shot... I think Hrubec would like ti back.. pretty sure that was Stransky and Lenc... I was excited about them coming in but there line is not having a good first.. 2 penalties and a goal against in under 18 minutes.
 
To the shock of no one.. a very even period. Tie game.

Czechs look a little off to me.. Hrubec was player of the period.

Swiss look every bit as good as I thought they would.
 
Great first period, fun game to watch. Switzerland had a few clumsy plays be defensemen, but apart from that no complain.

Geisser and Siegenthaler looked a little bit nervous. Understandable. Bertschy is a beast.
 
Even game so far. Switzerland is really dangerous once they get their legs going, but you can tell that its their first game.

It's nice to see that the Czech PP1 starts to gel. Overall it has been an underwhelming Czech effort so far though, but slightly better than yesterday. Too many no-shows on the Czech side. Also, gifted PP are very costly against the Swiss.
