That was definitely a Swiss period. They look great!

I am curious how many shots we can get in third? Swiss are really good at shutting it down.

Also curiuos if Kari changes things up in top 6? They aren't really doing enough at 5 on 5.
 
Nice second period!

We have a nice scoring depth this year, it's very encouraging.

But I'm still traumatized by our last 3 quarters so I won't get too excited.
 
Swiss do deserve a lot of respect for how their playing and from a Czech fan perspective, I have no problem seeing them thrive, as they are icing their best lineup and are well coached and entertaining to watch.

At the same time, I think its best that we don't draw any major conclusions based on the results of this tournament.

Who cares which teams are missing which players? This never ending story is so absolutely unecessary and need to come to an end. What you guys need to compensate? Just enjoy hockey and the players who give their best for their nation. come on - don't be that salty over and over again. It becomes really very boring. I mean the swiss also missing one of 3 best defenders over the last years and with meier etc an absolute beast! But....well who cares...

I would say that if it weren't for Špaček's stupid foul, it was our best performance. Špaček's line is terrible at all, constantly under pressure, the fourth on the other hand is excellent, Zohorna is playing very well and Voženilek's best performance at the championship.

It'd kind of funny to hear these arguments. We said the Swiss have 7 of their top 10 players here. Then everyone is quick to mention the missing 3 guys. Most nations don't have 7 of their 10 best guys here. Some, like Czechs/Canada/US don't even have one.

And it's not salt. We've all acknowledged its a great team and we're happy their best guys showed up for them (and pissed they didn't for us).

Think some posters are misreading what has been typed.

Should've been interference on Beranek. It was nice to see that end of the ice for a few seconds. I was curious if Mayer was doing Yoga, updating his Insta or taking a nap.lol
 
Whatever anyone thinks about who is missing in whose lineups I can say that it's going to be a crazy quarter finals, I mean...........................I couldn't begin to tell you who I think will go through this year.

Most years I would have a pretty solid idea.

Which should make things fun, that's what it's all about.

Our pool does not have a good crossover at all... US, Finns, Swedes and Germans all look very good! Normally I'd care about seeding but I don't think it makes a lick of difference this year. Make quarters and expect a very tight game.

Cernoch doing the dirty work... our bottom 6 has been great in this game and ready to battle! No we need our Top 6 to get a PP goal. Great setup for Kubalik!
