Cuylle up with the Rangers

It's 2 games(or 1)
then back to Pack
right after friday game,
nyr have off week

He'll be back in Pack lineup Sat for Syracuse
Well, maybe. The Wolfpack have a glut of healthy forwards right now. Cuylle coming up is as much about giving the kid a reward as it is about creating a spot for Blais in HFD. A team that’s already scratching a few forwards every game.

If you're reading this Gallant, thank you for making the moves we clamor for.
Yeah @will1066. This is probably why people here have the propensity and audacity into deriving lines THEY feel should be the lines, nearly each and every day. Maybe some here, really DO know what they are talking about?
Go figure, it's certainly not me. I leave the coaching to those that have that power to do so. I may not like it, but it is what it is.

He Is and I just think it’s inevitable he gets dealt

All the past history. I’m afraid he bolts if not moved
He was pretty sluggish playing on the fourth line. Hopefully it’s a one off but I’m not confident this ends well. Anyhow I’ll continue to be optimistic.

Kravtsov is a creative talented player. Not much strength or grit.....meaning he doesn't fit as a 4th liner. Also meaning he has to find a way to accentuate his talent and creativity and actually produce and there's not been a lot of that.

Gauthier has taken a real step forward this year. Maybe not the grittiest but he is big, fast and strong and IMO he fits into a bottom 6 role pretty well. That he's banged in some goals this year and also seems to finally have some confidence. I wouldn't take him out of the lineup.

Leschyshyn for now is the 4C. The way the other lines played against Florida the last game I would keep them together.....not that I was all that impressed with Mika, Kreider and Panarin but I thought both Chytil's and Trocheck's lines played very well. I like Chytil with Kakko and Lafreniere a lot.

Understood.
But NYR have their own roster/Cap considerations too.
Blais remains on 'active' roster re Cap consumption
so Cuylle is 23rd guy and less Cap can be 'banked'
I won't complain, that NYR loses so few man-games to injury, but there are overlapping considerations affecting roster decisions

I saw Cuylle play down in Hartford about a month ago. He was by far the most overall and well suited for NHL minutes out of anyone down there. I think he's going to need to be harder on the puck and improve his board play to stay in the NHL but he can be effective. Hope he sticks with the team.

Blais should not be seeing NHL ice anytime soon.

The fourth line got caved in against fla. Just not good enough. Imo drury will be shopping for a legit 4th line center. They want goodrow in the top 9.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see motte back either. But honestly vesey Trocheck goodrow is a good line. They’re going to be a pain to play against. I’d leave them alone. I think they can give you what that Tampa third line gave them.

I still don’t think Kane makes sense for this team. Trust the three kids they did it on the big stage last year. Let them cook

For that reason alone, it is a near certainty that Cuylle will be sent down after Friday. It doesn't make any sense to carry his daily cap hit if no games are being played and he doesn't have to pass through waivers. After the week off, it's less clear. If Cuylle really impresses and they want to bring him back up, I would bet that someone else (Blais, Leschyshyn, or Gauthier) is put on waivers.

Ef coach GG!!!
huge mistake to scratch Krav, who did not get placed properly w/top talent (not correctly/often enuf per bern).
Says he is not a 4th liner, but rarely got top mins and correct usage here is:
Kreider - Trocheck - Krav
which actual comb was rarely/never seen.

Krav at pivot w/Cuylie and Gauthier at this pt is better than the scrub Lesch.

Eff Drury too if he does something stupid and undersells Krav esp for a rental.

Once and for all, bern is usually right.
Learn with the bern, don't fight it!!!

A guy to keep an eye on for me is Barbashev out of St Louis. Physical player natural center, throws the body alot and does have offense. Not exactly great on face offs but I think we know goodrow Mika Trocheck are the ones taking those important ones come playoff time.

I like Barbashev a lot. I think he'd fit as the 3rd cog on a Panrin-Mika line or on the Trocheck line pushing Vesey or Goodrow down. Bonus points for winning a Cup with the Blues and we drafted his brother. Whats the cost? a 3rd and a lesser pick/prospect? maybe we double up on Russians and get him with Tank

Yup, and might extend, have some camps with his brother
Blues also have LHD Mikkola as pending UFA, 6'4", 26, full time NHL last few seasons
I hate rental deals, (and believe in our guys) but rentals are how current biz is done

Dont know much about Mikkola but he was very noticeable in the Blues playoff run last year. Walman is another younger UFA D (former Blue, current red Wing) that I'd be interested in.

Kravtsov doesn’t fit this roster. Just doesn’t

Another gordie Clark special.

Imagine if they drafted Farabee like some wanted like myself 🤬 a winger when not scoring is noticeable. Kravtsov is more noticeable falling down than anything else 🤬 great scouting by the idiots in this organization

No, people throw ridiculous shit at the wall and sometimes it looks like the starting lineup.

Kravtsov should stop floating around so much. He got plenty of a chance with Trocheck and Panarin and they were all shit. 6 points in 27 games—3 goals on 26 shots is par for the course. That’s not enough playing with our best set up forward. Vitali needs to bear down and play harder.

I’m not calling for us to trade him at this point but if we do I want something very good back.
