Another Great shorty from Leonard and Gauthier

Leonard with great physical turnover, great highlight, will make caps fans very happy.

I can’t help but feel the critics of Cutter expect him to be something he just isn’t really, he’s not going to drive a line like Crosby but his ability to help his team capitalize on scoring opportunities is very high. And he helps drive possession pretty well too

It's a weird thing to project onto Cutter too. How many pure shooters are line drivers? He doesn't need to carry the puck in and setup plays, he just needs to find the soft spots and setup for one-t's and open netters on passes from Carlsson/Zegras. The Ducks problem currently is too many of our players are best with the puck on their stick and nobody is shooting. We NEED dudes just like Cutter.

I've watched him play maybe 7 games, total, ever. I've skimmed a couple scouting reports. I'm just saying what I observe, coming from a total blank slate. People saying "he's not a line driver" pretty much corroborates what I'm saying -- he spends a lot of time not being noticeable. His size and speed is an asset that he can use away from the puck, clearly. He PKs (sometimes), he was used to good effect against Celebrini. But he doesn't always do that, he spends a lot of time making himself offensively dangerous, if someone can get him the puck. He's really, really good at that.

I want to see him with and against players who are better than him. Maybe that engages a new muscle.

Leo carlsson loves to pass, cutter loves to shoot. Match made in heaven

Just gonna put this here as well...

Because it seems like everyone needs it, here's a reminder that criticizing one aspect of a player's game isn't saying that that player is bad, or not promising overall. We don't need to genuflect to his greatness just to start a discussion about a part of his game that needs improvement, do we?

And FWIW I have no issue with him not being a line driver.

We're fortunate to already have Z, Mac, Leo, and Terry onboard as line drivers. Cutter's services will provide an aspect we desperately need in our top-6, which is goal scoring. This is why I have no problem with him not being a line driver and a great complement.

Now, if we were going to depend on him being our 1C like Philly was, then I'd very tentative about that prospect.

Drysdale got rocked tonight and it was a big hit straight to the shoulder he tore his labrum. He went straight to the locker room unable to lift his arm. In thinking we already won this trade due to Jamie not being able to stay healthy. Time will tell and I hope JD is ok and has a long career

Man... I hope it's nothing serious and he'll be back the next game. Jamie deserves to play

The philly fans are ripping him in the player discussion “ surprise a player made of glass continues to be made of glass” “ Anaheim absolutely fleeced us” “ when jd is playing bottom pair in 2-3 seasons this trade will have been awful”

Philly fans gonna be Philly fans. Doesn't help that they started hyping the hell out of him as soon as the trade was done, hard to reach those kind of expectations (EK comparisons, really?).
