I vote for a tank year. But no one will be with me. We need a player like Mcdavid. To me its about winning a cup. You can't get dynamic players like that without drafting them.

How can you win a cup when you always have to tank to get the next superstar? I really don't get this mentality. We have a good core. We just need more depth, and better goaltending whether that's Pavs improving or bringing someone in to push him for starts.

Interestingly enough, in his final game of an uncertain year. Burmistrov looked really good near the end of that game. However, making plays for bums doesn't mean production.

I really hope we don't walk into next year with this roster + Scheifele thinking we'll make the playoffs in that division.

Maybe I'm the only one, but I don't think it'll be bad out west. Only 6 teams don't make it to the playoffs and I think we can finish ahead of Colorado, Nashville, Dallas, Phoenix, Calgary, and Edmonton. The only teams that truly scare me are Chicago, LA and maybe Vancouver. SJ is getting older quickly and I'm not sure whether Anaheim is truly as good as their record this year.

Exciting season.

Looking forward to the draft, prospect camp, training camp, trades, and the start of next season. Jets improved this year - next year, they're in. Book it.

Can't wait to see Scheifele, Lowry, Trouba and other TNSE drafted players start filtering into the system.

Go :jets Go!

Am I the only one that is hoping for Lawless to ask some really ridiculous question so Claude Noel can rip his head off?

Lawless: "Hey Claude, how disappointed do you feel about being eliminated?"
Claude: "You want a f$(#&*(*$# rating from 1 to 10?"
Lawless: "To one decimal place, please."
Claude: "... now you die."

Congrats on a good year guys, sorry about missing out on the playoffs. You guys have a great team and will be a force for years to come. I hope to see both our teams in the playoffs for many years to come.

If we can get someone to play effectively with Kane and a shut down Dman maybe we can make a good run next year. It will be a much tougher division. We'll have to be much better.

well I don't think Gary is capable of asking anything BUT ridiculous questions

as he likes to say "I'm not a journalist, I'm a columnist"

I want to punch the loudmouth Habs fan (who does nothing but beak the Jets even when the Habs aren't playing) in 301 square in the face.

That is all.

Wasn't this CC guy praising Pavs as one of the best in the East before the season started? Now he's saying he's NEVER going to be an elite goalie? What flopping.

Well, at least that's done with.

Now we can watch the playoffs, then watch the Bombers do a Joe Mack face plant.

And the draft. And Chevy's "efforts" to assemble a better squad.

Maybe even one of these days we'll have a spring day with a few hours of sun and warmth... probably around July 8th or so, which will be the start and end of Manitoba summer.

Edit: no team with Pavelec as a #1 will win a championship in the NHL.

Out of that list I see maybe 1 of them at the most not returning.

Burmi, Stuart, and maybe Slater. That's it. I can't see an argument to move any others. Maybe Little or Wheeler at the start of the year but Little played very well this year and Wheeler could have scored 30 this year.

I felt like early in the move that the Jets always just needed to add to the core that Atlanta had somehow managed to build up(thank you Dudley). Scheif and Trouba could make the step next year and make a solid positive impact.
