2023 NASCAR NATIONAL Series schedules are now live/released:

North Wilkesboro returns w/ the All Star Race that was previously announced from Texas, Texas will retain its sole date IN September this year, but one proposal had Richmond ceding one or both dates; the new CTS also will be the support Event at NWS; Sonoma Raceway will swap its CTS Date for an XFINITY Date; Knoxville Raceway is done, as a CTS Date, Bristol renews the Dirt Race, and will be the only track hosting a Dirt event; Martinsville will trade a night race (Spring) and return to Sunday;

Milwaukee Mile will return to the National Series schedule for the Trucks;

Chicago Street Course will add an XFINITY date, Road America was retained on that series schedule as well;

Auto Club Speedway prepares for its final year as a 2 mile Speedway in 2023 as it transitions to a Richmond style Short-track; those details TBD;

Jesse Little announces tomorrow's Truck Series race will be final NASCAR Start in his career for Young's Motorsports in the 02

XFINITY: Food City 300 from Bristol Motor Speedway Friday night 7:30 on USA; Practice/Qualifying moved to NBC Sports APP from 2:30-3:15;

Friday news leading into CWTS/ARCA Coverage @ Bristol:

Means Racing (#52-XFINITY) expected to attempt Bristol race w/ Brennan Poole; team has attempted several races this year including one that was cancelled due to weather;

Mustang will be updated by 2024; Ford's entry in Next Gen;

Ryan Ellis to return to Alpha Prime Motorsports (#44/45 XFINITY) AT minimum 10 race schedule for 2023

36 entries for the Round of 12 (Playoff Race # 4) for the Cup Series also at Texas the 19 winners in 29 races ties the modern day record set in Generation 5 or 2001; it is also the 1st time non playoff teams/drivers swept a Round since the format was instituted in 2004

XFINITY Teams update:

JD Motorsports alters drivers lineup for balance of 2022, in their # 6 AS Brennan Poole will replace Ryan Vargas for three of the final 7 races but JDM also intends to return to a 3 car XFINITY Team in 2023; Bayley Currey will also be retained through 2023 as driver of the JDM # 4;

Parker Retzlaff will join Our Motorsports for Texas in their XFINITY 02, after being released from RSS Racing;

Cup Penalty report after Bristol:

Crew Chief Jon Hassler, the right rear tire changer Zachary Price, and Jackman Graham Stoddard (Penske/12) all suspended for Round of 12 for tire loss at Bristol Saturday

JRM upgrades management ahead of 2023; JRM confirms as well no advancement from XFINITY program to Cup as Kelley has previously stated, whether as a Chartered or Open entry for 2023

Friday notes leading into Texas:

Team Penske appealing suspension after Bristol Tire Penalty that was announced Tuesday affecting Hassler/Price/Stoddard through Las Vegas;

as posted on the INDYCAR Thread; AMSP is considering adding Kyle Busch once he transitions to RCR for a potential Indy 500 run;

XFINITY Playoff Drivers Noah Gragson and Ty Gibbs to remain running Cup when warranted; Gibbs likely will finish 2022 in the #23 for Kurt Busch; Gragson has split his time between Kaulig Racing and Beard Motorsports in the 16/62 while running the XFINITY 9 for JRM

Texas Inspection update for Cup: all 12 playoff cars have passed pre practice/qualifying inspection as well as the 45 WHO by virtue of winning Kansas is still in the Owners' Championship has passed Inspection;

10-Almirola goes from pole at Bristol to failing pre practice/qualifying inspection multiple times at Texas and loses engineer for race weekend

Cody Ware released after Texas crash which landed the 51 off the inside pit wall; Ware dealing with stretched ligaments in foot/ankle
