Oh god no.

I love Lewis and what he brings, but nobody, and I mean nobody on this team over the past 3-4 seasons has had more high quality scoring chances and failed. I counted 4 more tonight.:shakehead

Great job by the boys just going for it once the Flyers took the lead. The OT was crazy. That was a perfect setup pass by Brown to Gabby and I have no idea how he missed. Quick was just awesome , plain and simple.

Just noticed both Kings and Ducks games are being replayed right now, for those of you that missed them earlier.

Keep forgetting they usually replay games on the road from the East for those of you still stuck in an office and don't work at home. :)

Just got back from the game, of course, the Kings has to take that backseat when the Flyers are on the other side, but I do try to watch the game through both perspectives, and whoever I'm with when the Kings are here wonders why I seem different. Alec Martinez only has modest looking numbers and getting increased responsibility with zone starts tonight, but that rub out on Schenn was a great play by him, and then he gets a stick on Del Zotto in overtime. My friend says to me "27 for them is good." And that is why.

No points for Kopitar again! Trade him!

Seriously, Kopitar had a hand in both goals and scored the shootout goal. Those that just harp on his paucity of points need to look at this game and tell me how the Kings win without Kopitar the man-horse.

Doughty has now joined team toothless along with Brown and Carter.

From zero to 2 points in the span of a few minutes. I'll take it.

Nick said on the radio that Kopi is averaging less than 2 shots per game. That is craptacular. That has to get up to 4 or so which will give his linemates more chances.

He's averaging less than 2 shots per game since the start of last year. He finished behind Lewis last year. He's behind Lewis again this year. For years, we said he didn't shoot enough. He'd be 1, 2, 3, 4 in shots by the end of the year though. Now he's behind Lewis, and finishing 9th or 10th on the team. 4 or so shots? 2 is stretching it for the last 100 games.

At this point, we have to accept Brown can't score anymore, and that Kopitar probably just does not shoot anymore.

Don't see those "trade Martinez" posts anymore here either. Guess posters here are finally figuring out this guy is a valuable asset to this team.

Well, that man horse failed to clear the front of the net when Schenn parked his ass there that screened Quick on the 2nd goal. He didnt even attempt to try.

That was a helluva game, both goalies were lights out. Very satisfying road win. Throw another 2 points in the bank.

Didn't see any mention of it, but this was Sutter's 150th win with the Kings.

Side note: Quick's 221st career win, ties him for 63rd in NHL history with Ilya Bryzgalov.

AA started out shaky this year, and Forbort looked unsure for his first few games, but both of them are cementing a spot.

There was a really chippy sequence where I was sure AA was going to take a swipe or a slash at someone but he kept a lid on it. It's good to see him realize he doesn't have to drop gloves every single time to be effective.

Can't say enough about Forbort tonight, we are starting to see that great stick, nice gaps, and breakout passes we heard about from Manchester.

Not sure if anyone saw highlights on the NHL Network or watched the Philly feed… (overhead view)

They showed the clip of our 3rd Line buzzing around the Philly net. Lewis centered it, Brown tripped over his own skates but still managed to get his stick on it for a shot on goal. Mason makes the save and pushes the puck to the slot… to Shore… who rips it and beats Mason clean… It's headed straight into the goal, left corner… But Brown has slid into the crease by this time and his stick blocks Shore's shot right on the goal line and the puck squirts into the corner…:laugh::laugh:

Speaking of overrated goalies, what ever happened to the ballad of Jesus "John" Gibson?!? I haven't heard much sung about HIM in a while.

Think he was sent down to San Diego.

I think he has been hurt, his NHL.com profile don't show him playing in the AHL either.

I don't know if he's hurt now. But he wasn't when Kempe had a hat trick against him a few weeks ago.

Maybe posters need to figure out the advocacy for trading Martinez was because there were better options at the time, and $4 million for a #6 wasn't ideal at the time.

I would argue that he was never a #6, especially when you are talking Green and McNab and McBain on the team last season.

And I don't hear anyone advocating for Martinez to be moved now. Not a ****ing peep.

It's because he is earning his paycheck this season.
