Speaking of overrated goalies, what ever happened to the ballad of Jesus "John" Gibson?!? I haven't heard much sung about HIM in a while.

Think he was sent down to San Diego.

True, but Khudobin has been playing lights out lately.

As a matter of fact, BB pulled Andersen after Nashville's third goal tonight in favor of Khudobin. Those are ANA's goalies. Not sure we will see Jesus this season.

Luuuuuccccccccic!

3v3 isn't fair with Quick.

Dominated Philly and come out with a win. Feels good.

Kopitar showing why he's worth 11. It hit me tonight... Kopi wears 11, he should hold out for 11M... just saying

Edit: didn't a Duck lose a tooth from a fight earlier... where's the gif?

Lucic quietly has tallied 6 goals.. Catching up to Carrter:)

Man if Gabby can start to score, we would have some serious firepower up front

Gaborik had an absolutely FANTASTIC game tonight. He did all the things Sutter expects of you, even if not scoring. Hopefully he is finally finding his sea legs.

Despite what others will say, I liked Kopitar's game tonight, and I think he's been playing well. He was involved in the play on both Kings goals and scored the game winner on a perfect shot in the SO.

I agree, he looked better in the Edmonton game and he was at the net on McBains goal.

Kings really need to work on face offs, they got destroyed tonight in the circle.

Giroux was 24-3 in faceoffs. :amazed:

Man, do our FO numbers suck this season.

Wow, I'm not sure I've ever seen anyone that dominant in faceoffs in a single game. Against pretty decent faceoff guys too, I mean Kopi is well above 50% for the season and Carter is no slouch, even though he seems to be struggling a bit this year.

Wow, kind of impressed with Kopitar that he'd throw away the patented deke for the shootout and just roofed it. Good win, nice comeback, got the 2 points. Go Kings!

Shore is doing his job as best as you can expect. Kopitar, he's over 50%, but, I guess numbers don't lie. Carter is well under 50% though, and Andreoff probably isn't a center.

From zero to 2 points in the span of a few minutes. I'll take it.

Nick said on the radio that Kopi is averaging less than 2 shots per game. That is craptacular. That has to get up to 4 or so which will give his linemates more chances.

- I think the 3rd line had a couple of shifts late in the third that really turned the momentum back our way. Brown probably had his best game of the season.

- The 4th line just gets owned on the road, they just can't match up with any scoring line or it's going to lead to bad things. Very fortunate that we didn't get burned when they ended up out there against the Giroux line. Looking forward to the return of King so one of Nolan or Clifford sits, they are redundant.

- Love the 3 on 3 OT, but boy does it hurt guys who don't skate that well. Wayne Simmonds and Tyler Toffoli are not ideal players for that format of hockey.

- No glaring mistakes from McNabb!

- Forbort is way better than Ehrhoff. The Kings have enough puck movers on the back end, don't expect to see much of Errorhoff going forward.

Glad that we puled that out. Somewhat concerned we could only score 2 against a Defense that would be outclassed by 3 parking cones, 2 soggy marshmallows and a dead iguana, but 2 points is 2 points.

What a difference a year can make. Last year we had 3 total wins in OT/SO. This year through 18 games already have 3 wins. And then there is Anaheim.

Amen....that was FUNexpected.

Only got to see live from the 2nd Flyers goal on, gonna go back and watch the rest now...but man, last year that game would have been a Kings loss. No, a Kings roll-over-and-die. Never mind a last minute tie and a shootout win. I'll take it. Great start to a nasty roadie, take the day off and get to those details.

Quick = beast mode. Looked vintage in the OT, so casual when Giroux had his breakaway, haha. 3v3 is just so exhausting to watch, and it's crazy to see elite athletes so gassed that even if they've done nothing REALLY wrong, a bounce = a 2v1, 2v0, or straight up breakaway. THATS what enamors me about it--guys don't have to do something "wrong" for there to be a crazy chance, and doing something 'wrong' like missing the net or losing the puck while dangling = sure fire scoring chance. Fun stuff.

Funny how that works. Anyone that said that last year would have gotten absolutely obliterated for it though.

You know, re: the bottom 6--they get rocked due to matchups imo. Looking at the icetime from this game, aside from Doughty at nearly 30 and Andreoff under 10, basically all forwards and all D got about the same icetime. That's not like Philly, where they rode their top guys all night. Sutter obviously trying to preserve people on the road, so even if they were getting the bad side of it, props to the bottom six for hanging in there while the Flyers bottom 6 scrubbed the bench for the most part.

Forbort absolutely NAILED an insanely hard breakout pass that was amazing. Just wanted to add to what you said about him, he's been very good.

Will probably have more to say when I watch the whole thing :)

I remember we were first place in the league midway through the 2010-11 season, so that may be the last time.

Good call. They were 12-3 in mid-November that season, so there's a good chance they had a 4 point lead at some point in there. Pretty much .500 the rest of the way though... and then the Kopitar injury.

Edmonton back in 30th. :shakehead
