I haven't followed the other provinces a whole lot, but I can guarantee there will not be fans in the stands in Toronto this season. Not in any round.
No i totally agree, no fans in Canada. But will the American teams be barred from having fans at their home games when facing a Canadian team?

Canada is still in lockdown like it is the zombie apocalypse and yet the usa is wide open.

WTF.

Lol, I know right? The Canadian government better figure it out. It's going to look absolutely ridiculous when Montreal or Edmonton is re-located to some neutral, out of country site in Round 3 while their American opponent is playing to sold out home crowds. I say let fully vaccinated fans attend games. It's fine.

and why are they the hurricanes anyway? They aren't any hurricanes in nc

Dead wrong. When the team was named, North Carolina had been hit with more Hurricanes than any other state (though Florida has since taken the lead). We get a LOT of them, some quite deadly. Hurricane Fran killed 27 people and did about $5 billion of damage the year before the Hurricanes moved to NC. Hell, the last major hurricane strike was in 2018 with Florence causing around $24 billion in damage and killing over 50 people. Oh, and last year Hurricane Isaias hit NC while the Hurricanes were playing hockey in the bubble.

So will the Canadian team have 0 fans in the stands for 'home ice' and then go down to the US and face a crowd of 12,000 or more?
Quite likely they’ll be relocated to neighboring city (of their US opponent, e.g. Philly if playing against Pittspurgh)

why do the hurricanes do the skol chant?

Because it's a way for the players and fans to connect after a win. Nothing more complicated than that.

This is news to NC residents who have to evacuate in the face of hurricanes every year.

I agree

There should be enough vaccinated people I both cities to house a full arena in 1 1/2 months time.

It will be utter stupidity for the Canadian government to do anything else other then to ease of on the restrictions by then.

Dude, take the L. You presented wrong information as fact, got called on it, and now you're acting butthurt.
what are you even babbling about?

1. the chant looks like the same exact thing the vikings do

2. what major storms does nc face yearly that needed evacuation?

Hey there's nothing technically wrong with copying something another franchise does. The Braves did it with the Seminoles chant. Just making an observation

Good to see fans back in the buildings. teams really need the money but completely unfair. No fans should be allowed in the buildings through playoffs unless all teams can have fans. major advantage for US teams over the Canadian teams.

...Are you serious?

Hurricanes, as stated earlier. The same storms you claim don't hit NC, when a simple Google search could tell you that's blatantly untrue.

Yes, NC is well known for the major storms that have hit over the past 40 years or so.

Maybe if atlanta ever gets a franchise again they can be called the blizzards

Ah, moving the goal posts. Always the sign of a winning argument. No, most don't require massive evacuations, but most do require some evacuations off of the outer banks islands that regularly get overwashed.

Full crowd?

Didn't watch but will replay it later, but I had read days ago they'd be allowed 10,000-12,000 fans. Are you sure they were allowed 100%?

I think Nashville will allow 10,000-12,000 also.

Bruins allow 25%, but approval for 100% on May 29, if still playing. Fenway Park also at 100% on the 29th!

Not full they were at 12,000. It was loud though.

...Yes, to anyone who has any geographical knowledge of the US, NC is well known to be a common target for hurricanes yearly.

You do realize that just because you don't know something doesn't mean it isn't true, right?
