The Coyotes were the 10th worst team in the NHL last season with Kuemper, Raanta, and Hill. And ask Garland, Dvorak, and OEL. Andrei Vasilevsky couldn’t keep this team out of the top 3-4 draft lottery slots. But I’m not talking about Andrei Vasilevsky. Or even your guy Jordan Binnington. I’m talking someone like Greiss or Khudobin or Georgiev.

An average NHL goaltender will absolutely not keep the Coyotes from finishing last in the league this season. But they may help the Coyotes from being the worst team in the last decade. You don’t get extra lottery points for being historically bad. There’s just no reason for this.
Are you sure it wont? Cuz chicago is competing to be quite horrible too.

See, I know what you're talking about. You're saying that if you're losing every game 5-1, the guys on your team are going to just throw up their hands and quit too... where if you add a goalie who is better than Carter Hutton and you can keep those losses to like 2-1 for most of the game or 3-2 or whatever... that's massive for the development of guys who might actually have talent on your roster.

You're the one with the crazy misunderstanding. Basically, Arizona is going to get clapped in pretty much every game. So, if you add an average goalie to them, they're still going to lose, but it'll just be a one goal loss instead of a blowout.
No, they will win some more games. Maybe not many but with better goaltending, they will steal some ifntheir goalie has a hot gamr. Theres ither teams that are bad too that they have to play against. And their team put up 4 goals against the blues.

Theu wont win alot but theyd still win some more which could cause a team like the hawks to finish below them as the hawks are so bad they have not had a lead in any game.

Now there is merit to developing players by not having ridiculously uncompetitive goaltending.

Hutton like goaltending also makes it hard to sell any tickets to fans and will overtank ratings.

Korpisalo is available.

He has a good playoff resume so he should fetch at least a 2nd at the deadline, so the Jackets would need at least a 2nd if they were to trade him now.

When all their players want to leave in the off-season after losing most of their games by 3+goals because their management has no desire to win will hurt more than any draft pick will help.
They all wanna leave anyway….. it’s pretty clear what the master plan is in Arizona and it’s embracing the full tank and stockpiling high end prospects so when they end up moving to Mesa or wherever the new rink is getting built in a few years they can have a complete re-brand with the new arena, probably jerseys and influx of young exciting players for “a new regime” or whatever

Just don't agree to any proposals with Koskinen. I'll have to listen to people complain that Holland sucks because he didn't pull the trigger on an HF proposal all year :DD
