Obviously i'm happy we won the game, but we gotta be better early in games. We most liklely would have lost this game had Smith not become injured.

I'm a goalie, tore both of MCLs (a year apart from one another). The first one, happened from an identical play to whant happened Smith. I was in the butterfly and had someone fall on me just like that. Really sucks for Smith.
Show Richards some love. The guy looked like a 1C out there tonight. Making nice moves, smart passes, dictating the pace. He was excellent. It's too bad he doesn't play like that every game, if he did he'd unquestionably be worth his 6.6 cap hit.
Let's be real folks, Brassard is our 1st star. We don't win without him. Smith definitely tore is ACL or MCL.

I was thinking the same thing. If they were that sick, they shouldn't have been playing at all. Just give them the night off. They didn't play very much to begin with.
At least they had a reason to be off the ice.
Kreider got limited ice time like usual. Did anyone else ever notice whenever it is a TIGHT game, it's in the 3rd period, or we are in overtime, Kreider gets limited ice time, if none.
I think AV feels as if Kreider is a liability on the ice, and purposely benches him in tight games. Not good. I wonder how that will impact his ice time in the post season (provided we get there) if AV genuinely feels he is a liability.

Big Mac is officially my favorite player. I think he had a touch of the flu too, looked pale to me. Overcame it for a great game.
Good game for Dorsett too, maybe the best he has had. He is clearly fighting for a spot on the team. Carcillo had better step it up the next chance he has. What a great 4th line. Hope they resign Boyle and Moore and one of Dorsett and Carcillo. Maybe both to have a spare.
