Oy vey. Bettman needs to just admit how wrong he was about this whole situation.

Never gonna happen.

There were inevitable jokes made when Arizona's move to an arena — which is named for a prominent ASU donor family — that's a fraction the size of the league's other 31 venues was announced, but NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly said it will benefit the franchise both now and in the future.

"Full building every night," he said. "It could help the team and player performance when you have that type of environment.

"It's not a permanent solution — could never be a permanent solution — but as a short-term solution it'll work fine."

There have been moments when it appeared the Coyotes would be leaving Arizona after originally relocating from Winnipeg in 1996.

Daly, however, said when the league commits to a market, "we're committed."

The league is 100% committed to making this work.

Y'know, just like they were committed to making it work in Hartford.

And Atlanta.

And Quebec City.

Pretty embarrassing that some teams have to deal with this. I'm sure the PA and visiting team management is on the phone with the league.

I don't get it, a University arena doesn't have enough locker rooms for 2 teams?

I must have missed something, because the 50 years old arena near my high school had more than 1 locker room...

Hartford and Quebec City were both okay as markets. The game changed too much for them to stay successful. Atlanta's just been a huge miss. Twice.

Yeah, every community arena in the GTA has like 6+ rooms per rink/pad. They aren't always 'nice' or big, but they are actual rooms with benches, hooks, doors, and washrooms lol.

At least there's only 4 teams that have to enjoy those accommodations.

Winnipeg, New York (Rangers), Florida and Dallas all drew the short straws, I guess.
Winnipeg and NY will just be happy to be out of the cold.
Florida will just be happy to be out of the humidity.
Dallas will just get dressed at home.
