Coyotes 2023-24 Training Camp Discussion.

If and when they name a captain, it seems like is has to be Keller. He is easily the best player, he has been a Coyote from draft day, and he is part of the long term core. It seems like he checks all the boxes, I assume he has leadership skills as well. We don't have any vets that are part of the long term solution, Dumba is one example. I don't think anyone else qualifies to be captain.

I feel like Keller/Crouse are probably not the “next decade” best picks for C. That’s probably a kid that we can’t identify yet. But that kid will take a long time to be ready for that anyway. So it’s probably an ideal time to name a captain that will likely only keep the C for 4-6 years.

Cooley is a baby. Let’s see how he develops. Prefer the leadership stress to not be placed on the young star. He as enough stress as the anointed one.

An intriguing PTO for Arizona. DiLiberatore was one of the final cuts for Vegas a few years ago at training camp. Would be nice to see him get a two-way deal and let him get some steady minutes in Tucson.
