Winnipeg has no issues, we're just not trading Ehlers for two years of Fowler.....not even close to happening. Your dreaming if you think Chevy would do that trade. Haven't you noticed yet? Jets fans don't have a great deal of interest in Fowler, certainly not enough to trade Ehlers for him. Too funny

Ehlers plays LW.
Lemieux plays LW
Dano plays LW.

If Winnipeg doesn't have interest in Fowler or want to trade for him...do they want to make the playoffs?

are they trading Lindholm? who is the top pairing LHD? certainly not Fowler by most metrics

Highly unlikely anyone trades a young top pairing LHD, Jets dont have to pander to desperate fans like some teams do so we're not trading away great young assets for old players or overpaying for average ones. Either the Jets make a hockey trade D for D of equal value or F for a D of equal value. Jets aren't in a win now mode, so we don't have to sign any horrible contracts in an attempt to win in the next couple years. Jets are building from within via the draft, our time is in 2-3 years from now.

Fowler offers us very little value, his window before UFA is two years, this isn't our window. Plus if the ducks management believe he's top pairing and want return like a top pairing Jets would have zero interest. Ducks want value equal to a 2nd pairing guy with two years left (how many Jets fans see him) before big money deal, Jets might offer something of equal value (but you likely wouldn't like the offer) but some contender in win now mode would offer you more b/c their desperate to win now.

And is Morrissey not ready yet? I thought the Jets D would've been set with him taking the third LHD spot.

Yes most believe Josh will start the year on the 3rd pairing and maybe work his way up to 2nd pairing at some point during the year. Partly why the Jets aren't as desperate for a LHD as some think. Not to mention Trouba playing top pairing LHD like he ended the year. IMO

Not really sure on Morrissey. From my understanding he did pretty good in the A on a TERRIBLE Moose team. Would love to see him make it.

Helm is of zero interest. If the deal worked cap wise, then there would be something to discuss. But we are not taking cap dumps, so no.

I think those five have under 200 NHL games between them. We're keeping the first three, they are not expendable.

Perhaps Mcnabb or Martinez(plays RD well anyway so a bit lateral for us), but an equal or better RD would have to come back. Neither guy is really "available" though.

Ehlers is worth more than Fowler and less than Lindholm, and is too valuable a young player to trade for a few lower quality assets. Ducks don't have any LHD between Fowler and Lindholm, so I can't see any possible deal that involves Ehlers.
