I would imagine Toledo or an emergency situation. The Wings signed the other Toledo goalie so he could play in GR because we called up Ned.

Wallstedt played against GR and did save 23/26 = 88.5%

Lethemon was there at GR net, and did save 37/40 = 92.5%

So this shiny Wallstedt can't beat an ECHL goalie.

maybe a mild sigh of relief that he at least met what should be the baseline expectations for a 15th overall and the first Goalie drafted, not a home run but a successful pick all the same

Stabilizing the position for a decade plus and 400 wins including two successful Cup runs? Full on streaking.

400 wins is nowhere remotely close to the baseline expectation for a 15th overall goalie pick. That's like expecting ~1500 games at nearly PPG for a forward.

Right kind of mind to develop himself. Cossa faced some early adversity, new league, new level. Some struggle, working working working these things... and finally getting some results.

Cossa just needs a good team in front of him to play well. Call him the next Osgood!

I'd like to have that team in the future. Kind of sick for these poor Red Wings teams.

Cossa example, at 28-game mark everything looks just average, like he is going nowhere. But on that point, he had just learnined things. Results did start coming later.

Let's farm him out to Rogle next year so he can play with whoever we pick at the draft this year!
