A small percentage of people are that busy... and even then they could say where they've been. Unless you have brain damage, it's not that difficult to try and remember. Again, pooor poor excuse. I highly doubt you'd get more than a few people here on this board who sincerely can't remember what they've done in the past week. Plus as i said, Hinshaw said they were purposely not cooperating... they weren't just "not remembering".
Again youre assuming everyone lives in a fear based bubble like you do.

No, I said the people not followning protocols are morons and gathering like idiots. But then there are people like you who minimize it and indirectly basically saying "it's all goooood".
so now youre gaslighting me?

Im not saying that at all. I never said anything close to that. I said that some people dont live in a bubble of fear like you choose to. Some people go about following the current recommendations and you think theyre all morons because they arent locked up at home.

Fact is, everyone knows where they've been in the short term. There's no excuse for not cooperating with contact tracing. Not sure what the point of your comment here has to do with anything.

You have said previously that people going out to eat, people going to the gym, people playing sports, people gathering in any kind of groups were all in the wrong. Then you made a very large blanket statement calling all those people morons.

Bull. Ya, months ago I said it might not be a good idea to eat out, go to the gym, etc. But I've been clear in stating the morons are those that gather irresponsibly (packing 50 people in a house party etc) and yes, go to bars and loud talking into each other mouths etc.

You mean like talking right into each others mouths??

Youve been very negative about anyone doing any type of activity that isnt staying home, and wearing a mask to go out only for essential trips. Including people going to restaurants, the gym, playing sports, going to work, going to school, going out for coffee. you think people who do that stuff are morons.

"
will just give the morons more ammo to carry on being morons." sounds like you think anyone who doesnt live in a fear based bubble is a moron...thats what is clear.

Load of cr**. Putting words in my mouth. If you choose to be obstinate, go ahead. I can also say in turn then, you're encouraging people to have raves in their homes and travel without quarantine, if you want to play that game.

You’ve already said lies like that lol.
I directly quoted you, and then gave examples of people going to eat or to the gym and you agreed you didn’t agree with them doing that. That’s after you labeled everyone who doesn’t agree with you a moron...

What a fu**in load of cr**. Where did I say all that dont agree with me are morons. Ya I don't agree with eating out and some other stuff. I've even stated I wish cases were low so I could maybe get back into the gym/hockey safely. I've only ever said the morons were those gathering in large groups at house parties and at bars and just being totally irresponsible. Quit twisting things or being completely obstinate.

Wow! You need help. You are so over the top paranoid a crazy over a very harmless virus to most of us. You have no right to call a few friends meeting at a bar or restaurant morons. They are living their damn life, I suggest you do so also instead of freaking out over the Wuhan flu

So much for the hospitals aren't loaded with Covid-19 argument. Not gonna be long before we hear of more hospital closures because they can't handle this. or control this and control spread and massive outbreak in health facilities.

Alberta made a mistake in one thing, and thats not having one centralized facility, in Edmonton and Calgary dealing with nothing but Covid and containing patients to those facilities. By having them in any facility it can spread in any facility. Which worst case scenario means many wing closures, if not outgright hospital closures and people not being able to get any service there.

As it is who wants to set foot in any hospital in Edmonton or Calgary? Anybody? I'd have to have something life threatening to consider it.

I gotta agree here. IMO knowing what we knew initially we should have setup field hospitals. Have the basics like IV and o2 therapy available. Have them intubated with hepa filter before being transferred to a hospital. Would have reduced the death rate.

not really......i mean thats where we are....

would you rather people choke to death or ....a lot of people be depressed.....

in a way weve made this choice.....already....we chose choke to death.

edit; and when we talk of trivializing....thing of someone you know....think of someone not in the internet....choking to death in front of you....its not really a hard choice.

I do believe the depression thing is a bit overblown. They survey people about anxiety and depression during a pandemic. Of course people are going to say they're somewhat more anxious/depressed. It's a friggin pandemic! It has less to do with any phantom lockdowns or the economy (which has been tanking for years now) and more to do with the viral/health threat. And I do think the increase in depression cases are just minor complaints for now. Heck I'm relatively "depressed" now compared to pre-covid as I'm sure many here are.... but I'm pretty sure we're in no actual harm or need of medical help for it. Depression and the "economy" are absolutely smoke and mirror as you said for those tired of covid.

Thanks for the laugh but hospitals are far from loaded with covid patients lol Alberta has much much more space for the tiny amount of people impacted by the Wuhan flu. Not even close to half capacity yet

The whole point is when we first knew. We didn't know who was at risk. Should have been re-directing covid cases to one of the many school gyms that were open to use, with schools closed. Once we had the data on how it spread, and who it effects. Then you look at bringing them to the hospital. Makes no sense to me to be taking people with a disease that kills sick people, to a place full of sick people.
