But it's hilarious that you're bagging on him for losing so many times in the finals as a secondary piece, while completely ignoring the insane value he brings to GETTING a team to the final in the first place.

You're saying no to a pro athlete teaching your child how to sprint, when we should be focused on teaching them how to f***ing crawl first.

Not against Perry, but just so people are aware, he was bad away from McDavid (even with Draisaitl as his C).

He was best with McDavid + Draisaitl, then McDavid + RNH.

I wouldn't expect him to be putting up the same numbers and would hope he is bottom 6.

If you were to grab a guy like Marchand and then Perry, it's pretty decent in terms of "snot" / DNA change.

I'd think the value is likely to having him on the 4th line at 5v5 and then PP2.

We have never had that .
The JT hit never got a penalty , even though everyone new it was on purpose .

Miserable guy to play against but I think he is one dimensional and I doubt he would have same impact here.

We just aren’t built the way Edmonton is nor do we have what Perry would need to be effective here.

I'd sign him for a season if the price is right. The guy has been in five Cup Finals in six years. You put him on the 4th Line and he will give you a solid 10 minutes a game and drive the net come playoffs.

I wouldn't sign Perry if it guaranteed a Cup Final loss.

I wouldn't want him on the team at all. He's got some grit and scoring left in the tank, sure. But I don't think he's the quality vet leader that he's portrayed as. The Chicago exit is more indicative of the person and player that he really is today. A loser and a distraction has no value on this roster.

Dubas was butthurt Perry wrecked his sens (apparently Dubas was a sens fan growing up) in the playoffs years ago as a duck. That's the only thing I can think of why anyone would chose Simmonds over Perry... Especially since Perry wanted to come here.

He played primarily with Drai and McDavid... he also was bad when away from McDavid.
