Corey Perry Skates Into Binnington's Neck, Binnington Punches Perry in the Back of the Head

Such a dirty and dangerous play. Good for Benner
'Benner' literally just Bertuzzi'd Perry after knocking him down with blocker to back of the head. Jumping on him with all his gear and driving Perry's head onto the ice was just as dangerous than Perry's skate touching Binners mask outside the crease.

See what you want see.

You want overdramatization, you got it

Lmao his blocker never touched Perry. Talk about seeing what you want to see…f***ing delusional

Congrats on the clown shoe worthy response. Total strawman that has nothing to do with my post or really any basis in reality.

Okay there Donald typical no argumentative points so just start slandering loudly to compensate.

And surely no one could have contacted Perry, causes his skate blade to tilt and cut a carotid roughly 1/4" inch away. I was at the game where Zednik almost died. This is an asinine take. That could be because I watched the ice crew spend 10 minutes scraping off the blood trail from the ice. It feels absurd to even say this - don't skate into people's necks.
Lol this takes the cake for victim mentality.

Perry is a worthless POS. After his knee to Tavares head few years back I've been waiting for someone to feed him his ass. He needs a high five...in the face...with a chair WWE style
I hate Perry, and thing he's a dirty useless player. Can't stand him or his face. I will still defend him on that Tavares knee to the head, that was not intentional.

Best thing Ben Chiarot did in his time with the Jets.

Brian Hayward (Ducks commentator) is single handedly the junior version of what Jack Edwards was. Whines about so many calls against the Ducks, then complains when the Ducks get called for anything

He purposely hit Binnington in the head with his skate while he was in a defenseless position. Really reckless, dangerous play. How is that different than the head shots the league is trying to get out of the game ?

Commentary saying this is how you can rattle Binnington is the most funny part of the clip to me - yeah, you can rattle him by being a dirty piece of shit who has a history of playing like a low life? Wow! Impressive!

Absolutely sickening on Perry's part. I don't believe that it was intentional - I can't believe that any hockey player would purposely do something to hurt a goalie like that, even someone who has such a long history of being a rat on the ice - but it was completely reckless, and we're all lucky that being dangerous was the worst part; we could've seen another Malarchuk-like incident or worse.

Perry deserves a couple of games with a suspension for recklessness and because he's a repeat offender (in terms of doing stuff that crosses the line and has been suspended in the past). I have no issues with Binnington's reaction to what could've been very dangerous to his health, but I'd be fine with a fine or even a one-game suspension.
Wasn’t intentional ? He didn’t see Binnington’s head before he skated into it . Given his track record, Perry doesn’t deserve the benefit of the doubt.

I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt as a human being. I prefer to think the best of people, that another hockey player wouldn't try to skate into someone's head/neck area on purpose.

If he did do it on purpose, his ass should be grass. f*** a suspension, in that case.

Binnington’s entire upper body was out of the crease… the guy is a grade A p***y, I’m glad he got run over.
What does that have to do with it ? You can skate into a players head intentionally no matter where they are on the ice

Can’t prove intent. But it’s hard to see how it could be accidental.

Binnington should stay in his crease then. Perry never enters the blue paint
The blue paint only comes into play for goalie interference not skating into a goalie’s head which is a hit with the principle point of contact being the head.

He was never close to it. The supposed contact if any wasn't even inside the crease and puck was in play.

This play wasn't even top 5 in that game for ugliness.

It's only a thing because Binnington channeled his inner Bertuzzi
You obviously haven’t watched all the replays. He makes direct contact with Binnington’s head which is moved sideways by the hit. Could have resulted in a concussion or neck injury. Binnington should have been checked out by the spotter and Perry ejected from the game and suspended.

Good on Binnington, Perry deserved it.

Perrys theatrical flop to the ice should’ve been another 2 minutes for embellishment.
