I think Binnington's reaction was understandable. Something like that happens, you're going to get up hot.
Binnington should stay in his crease then. Perry never enters the blue paintIf anything the Blues players should have just held the oilers players back and let Perry take a couple blocker shots from Binnington while he was down on the ice. There's nothing wrong with crashing the crease but going and purposefully trying to ram your leg into the goalies head is a bitch move.
Is Perry not supposed to go after the loose puck in the crease?
i think it was perfectly played by Perry.
At least Perry fights after doing something like this. Gudas hides behind the refs having flashbacks of Nurse breaking his nose.Perry's such a POS I didn't feel bad about Gudas d-bagging him.
Not even sure he actually went into the blue paint.First player to ever go into the blue ice for a loose puck. Binnington is a survivor.
Neither does the situation room in Toronto. Those of you saying that it's okay because part of Binnington's body was outside the crease don't understand the rules of hockey.
No offense.

Should've gone under concussion protocol then and not be allowed to play anymore.Really? Did he even make contact? Either you are blind, or you refuse to acknowledge what the video shows. And to answer your question, YES, he made contact with BinBinnington
He was never close to it. The supposed contact if any wasn't even inside the crease and puck was in play.He knew what he was doing. Dirty players try to take liberties on goalies like that all the time. Even getting close to stepping on someone's neck with a skate is repulsive, and needs to be severely condemned.
*Robespierre likes this post*i think it was perfectly played by Perry.
Did you even watch the play? Perry made blatant contact with Binnington’s head with his skate. Are you being intentionally obtuse about how dangerous that is? There was absolutely no reason for that. My goodness.Binnington was upset that he got snow showered by Perry while lying on the ice. He felt disrespected.
Seriously though, Perry's skates never left the ice. There was not any more "Malarchuk" potential here then most goal crease scrambles with bodies and skates flying. People make it sound like Perry stomped on his neck.
Reckless play is in the eyes of the beholder. Glad no one was actually injured on the play.
And surely no one could have contacted Perry, causes his skate blade to tilt and cut a carotid roughly 1/4" inch away. I was at the game where Zednik almost died. This is an asinine take. That could be because I watched the ice crew spend 10 minutes scraping off the blood trail from the ice. It feels absurd to even say this - don't skate into people's necks.Binnington was upset that he got snow showered by Perry while lying on the ice. He felt disrespected.

Agreed. Perry knew what he was doing there. No problems on my end with Binners reaction

Congrats on the clown shoe worthy response. Total strawman that has nothing to do with my post or really any basis in reality. What kind of loser organization tells its player not to go after loose pucks in front of the net. Don't do it guys you might hurt the goalies feelings.
The crease has nothing to do with it. Perry could have still made a play without smashing his leg into Binnington's head. Very easily actually. Yet he chose to try and injure him.Binnington should stay in his crease then. Perry never enters the blue paint
The window for any retaliation would be abruptly (and/or graphically) closed by that point.. Binnington set a very tame boundary given how bad that could've been.Over dramatic. You would have a case had Perry stepped on his neck or kicked it.
Binny boy with a couple cheap shots are worthy of fine on the other hand.
No problems on my end with Binners reaction
