Is this any different than the Kulikov hit?

Please stay away everybody. Nothing ever comes good out of it. After a loss no one wants to get into a discussion about how good your team is.
I highly advise though of stopping by the Main GDT and to make fun of the MEGA homer Boston PBP guys... it's mostly just the one guy who forgets to do his accent sometimes but it's really fun.

Bettman was hired by Jacobs 25 years ago to make sure Canadian teams never succeed again and that's exactly what he has achieved. This is exactly the officiating the Jets will get in the playoffs according to script. As long as Canadians keep throwing time and money at a pipe dream, ownership will agree to lose and do nothing.

Jets should offer free ice cream on the way out to the kid Bruin fans after the game lol
Why would someone cheer for the Bruins over the Jets in the first place ? If you're from Boston, or know someone on the team, then I can understand. But your home town has a team that is one of the best in the league.... I never understand why some people maintain their loyalties to other teams.

Agreed, not happy with Po Mo for that stupid challenge, or his spotters who told him to challenge. You HAVE to be 100 % confident it was offside, the price of giving up a 5 on 3 with a 1 goal lead was not worth that.
Flip side of that though is Maurice doesn't challenge and everyone freaks out that Maurice is a dumb ass . I personally thought it was out and was screaming challenge it . Goes to show what i know .

Definitely, it is easy to judge the decision after the fact.

My 2 cents on the offside call. At the game, the puck looked clearly outside of the blue line. Yes, at the game yes it was reviewed and yes it was said it was onside then a good goal. But as a person who does video editing on the side, video reviews are severely flawed (not being a homer, this is for all games). They are looking at a review that is shot at a lower frame rate (ex. 30fps for broadcasts). There is missing frame information. I highly would suggest that the NHL would look into a higher rate camera to "catch" all the frames of movement.

A video is supplied with what I'm talking about.

Edit 2: They are watching off of iPad's, the videos could even be shown at a lower frame rate due to compression etc. We just don't know what they use to reshow the replay.

I just wonder, why they still put Little first in the shootout... Ehlers or Connor should always be first, they're more intriguing and would hate to go against them if I were a goaltender.

Also, Myers needs to improve his quick thinking. He doesn't expect to get the puck, and then is clueless the second it hits his stick. I think he has the potential to be so much better than that. It nearly cost the team in overtime.

Otherwise, Tanev had an amazing game and I believe he should be dressed in the next game. The team played great.

I think Comrie should get the start next game, Chicago could be a little bit of a rewarding challenge for him, with Kane, Toews, Saad, and Keith on that bad team.

Jets are a good team they can skate they can score and they can rough you up, other teams fans don't like this and I good with that, better to be a hated fan base with a good team than a loved fan base with a losing team.

After Tanev scored his second I said to the wife..."he's gonna get a hat trick tonight" You can't make this stuff up. Hockey is so bizarre sometimes.

Memories of Eric Boulton who I never watched play in a Thrashers jersey but Beyak kept on drilling his name into to my memory banks as the last player to score a score a hat trick for this franchise over and iver again until Brian Little finally got the job done

He committed to the hit b4 the D man turns. Not sure what you can do in that situation. Im not sure he gets suspended... He committs b4 he turns. Looks like its gonna be shoulder to shoulder... Bruin player stopd dead in his tracks while Josh is already committed to the hit.

Yeah that is a tough one. The NHL usually puts emphasis on a player changing his position right before the hit. It could go either way imo. They may just do the old fine cop out that they have done plenty of times before.

look the hit by Morrissey looks terrible if you slow it down. If you watched it live at full speed it's not as bad.

Gryz turns at the very last second after Josh has committed to the hit. Obviously it would be better if he let up a bit but he was in the heat of the moment after watching Scheif get boarded just seconds before. If they want to give him a game or two, fine.

A very similar hit happened to Kulikov earlier this year and nothing came of it.
