The process of getting McDavid would cost Buffalo so much it wouldn't be worth it. He'd just be jumping from one Oilers to another.

It would take something like this, yes. Two things I'd like to point out; we don't know Matthews next contract number (Reilly is a $5 Million AAV -Edit) and McDavid is on pace for a 120 point season. On a team that has no secondary scoring. Think about that for a sec :)

Sorry for the double post but I'd like to think Jeff Vinik is 1) not a complete :eek::eek::eek::eek: and 2) has learned from our previous owners to leave hockey operations in the hands of the GM.

LMAO dream on. We wouldn’t trade Kuch for McDavid straight up, much less with that ridiculous add. We’ll keep our players and continue being one of the top teams in the league and you can keep McDavid and continue being irrelevant.

Unlike Edmonton we sell out every game. The best gate attraction is winning.:thumbu:
 
Any GM who has a good amount of really talented, young and impactful players would be stupid to even think about this trade because it would take almost all of these players to get Mcdavid and at the end of the day the team would be going nowhere with Mcdavid and a bunch of nobodies. Edm itself is a proof of it.

Yeah, these threads are started by fans of a mediocre team just so they can have a massive public circle jerk about how valuable they think their best player is and how all the actually successful teams would supposedly be happy to gut their rosters to acquire him. When somebody dares to contradict their fantasies and says “no thanks, we’re good” they go apeshit. It’s sad, really.
