Last season was a long grind to recover from their poor regular season start. And they had a long, hard playoffs on top of that too.

McDavid and Draisaitl probably each need a long rest at some point to get ready for another playoff run.

He's one of the main reasons they make playoffs. You don't want a 4-5 record then a mcdavid-less slump and then he has to come rally the troops again like last year. Then again, he's capable of anything.
