I’m no doctor but I played one on tv once. That looks like it could keep him out a few weeks with a high ankle sprain.
I mean look at the language Op used in his post, it’s a clear bias against the Oilers “maybe a trip? “As one approaches 30” he’s clearly taking shots but trying to leave enough plausible deniability. It was a trip, the guy near the bench clearly sticks his stick out and gets McDavid. Not sure why everyone has problems seeing the trip, it's the Blue Jacket standing by the bench who jus stands there and reaches out his stick to hook McDavid's skate.
In the end it doesnt matter, the injury happens whether or not the penalty is called or not. Thanks for the slow motion clip. Feel bad for Connor and Oiler fans, that should have been a 2 minute minor. Get why refs missed it, given how they call games

Unloved, it was satirical based on a big controversy from HFNYR but I realize it would be misinterpreted by most. I just traded for him in the HFNYR Fantasy League, the whole league was up in arms and tried veto'ing the trade, I fought tooth & nail to keep him and now this happens lol, so I sarcastically loved it.Imagine being the guy who loves an injury to a player.

Goaltending is by far and away less of a concern as compared to the defense that plays in front of them. They're getting average level goaltending but they are giving up lots of high danger chances every single game. The defense isn't boxing out on half of the plays. It's A LOT of his fault how bad he's played since the playoffs started. No need to cherrypick goals from one period, when his run of bad play started a while back, and he's been abysmal in the playoffs every year so far.
The Sillinger goal looked bad? Maybe that was a deflection off an Oiler. Won't be able to get a better look at that until the full game highlights are up after the game ends. For some reason the NHL app made goal videos only 10 seconds long at some point last year, with no replays or other angles.
Honestly maybe it's an ankle sprain? It didn't look too bad from the clip.
Kinda reminds me of that Crosby high ankle sprain from a while ago:
Mcdavid did not seem to be in as much pain as sid
Even in subscribing to that theory, that's all the more reason to employ a CHEAP goalie, and not give Skinner a raise.Goaltending is by far and away less of a concern as compared to the defense that plays in front of them. When Troy Stecher looks like your steadiest defensive presence (over Ekholm of all players) that's not good. Ekholm is having the same start as he had last year defensively. He will return to form but both him and Bouchard are giveaway machines to start the year.
And as I type this, another goal where the defense fails to box anybody out or tie anybody up and a free goal.
So how many picks does Ottawa have to forfeit for this?Nah, Brad Marchand.

Nope. Kadri should be suspended for 15 games.Nah, Brad Marchand.
