Not sure why everyone has problems seeing the trip, it's the Blue Jacket standing by the bench who jus stands there and reaches out his stick to hook McDavid's skate.
I mean look at the language Op used in his post, it’s a clear bias against the Oilers “maybe a trip? “As one approaches 30” he’s clearly taking shots but trying to leave enough plausible deniability. It was a trip, the guy near the bench clearly sticks his stick out and gets McDavid.

Imagine being the guy who loves an injury to a player.
Unloved, it was satirical based on a big controversy from HFNYR but I realize it would be misinterpreted by most. I just traded for him in the HFNYR Fantasy League, the whole league was up in arms and tried veto'ing the trade, I fought tooth & nail to keep him and now this happens lol, so I sarcastically loved it.

One thing about liars is that they usually overexplain their lie to make it sound more factual and plausible. Just a FYI.

It's A LOT of his fault how bad he's played since the playoffs started. No need to cherrypick goals from one period, when his run of bad play started a while back, and he's been abysmal in the playoffs every year so far.

The Sillinger goal looked bad? Maybe that was a deflection off an Oiler. Won't be able to get a better look at that until the full game highlights are up after the game ends. For some reason the NHL app made goal videos only 10 seconds long at some point last year, with no replays or other angles.
Goaltending is by far and away less of a concern as compared to the defense that plays in front of them. They're getting average level goaltending but they are giving up lots of high danger chances every single game. The defense isn't boxing out on half of the plays.

When Troy Stecher looks like your steadiest defensive presence (over Ekholm of all players) that's not good. Ekholm is having the same start as he had last year defensively. He will return to form but both him and Bouchard are giveaway machines to start the year.

And as I type this, another goal where the defense fails to box anybody out or tie anybody up and a free goal.

Even in subscribing to that theory, that's all the more reason to employ a CHEAP goalie, and not give Skinner a raise.

Honestly maybe it's an ankle sprain? It didn't look too bad from the clip.

Kinda reminds me of that Crosby high ankle sprain from a while ago:

its time for Drai to earn that raise. high ankle sprains dont look too bad? for a player that strives on speed its a bad injury to have.

Ouch, that left leg hit the boards quite unfortunately, hope it's just a a minor sprain.

Definitely tripped but this is a fluke play all around. His ankle looked bent going into the boards. McD usually doesn't leave games early. I'm guessing this is going to be a few weeks minimum. Not good at all. Can't wait to see all the depth they surrounded their generational superstar with to really step up.lol. Maybe this opens a look for Savoie.
