Haven’t seen the full documentary and don’t care if he’s social at all in his private life. There is nothing wrong with being introvert.
My concern has always been his captaincy. He’s not a natural leader. Compare him to someone like Landeskog who’s an extrovert and a born leader, you can see it on the ice but more importantly you can see it on the bench. McDavid has been throwing tantrums at teammates on more than one occasion.
The idea of giving the captaincy to the best player instead of the best leader is more common in North American than Sweden.
