This is so true it hurtsYes, we watch the games. Apart from a handful of games, Zibanejad has played like dog shit. Shove that PPG up your ass, over 50% of his points are coming out of PP.

This. The bad habits are creeping back in.The lackadaisical play on their side of the ice has been present for the past several games and they've been getting away with it. Tonight, the goalie and offense couldn't bail them out so it finally bit them on the ass.
Too many soft/cute passes leading to turnovers in the zone. Too slow of reactions behind their own net. Too many odd man rushes. Too much space given to the opposition. It's a trend that started a few games ago and this is what was present all the last couple years and it looked like they exorcised themselves from it earlier this year. Now it's creeping back in. It's the only thing that gives me pause from just saying "Tired team. Forget this one and move forward" etc. You want to say coaching matters? Then Laviolette needs to nip this shit in the bud.
I don't remember saying anything to you about anything and your response is uncalled for.Yes, we watch the games. Apart from a handful of games, Zibanejad has played like dog shit. Shove that PPG up your ass, over 50% of his points are coming out of PP.
That comes out to 24 pts over 82 games....for a 1C, that is, how should we say? No bueno. That's not taking anything away from his production on the PP but still, that's anemic 5v5 production for a top center and unfortunately, what that does is put a lot of pressure on line two while giving the other teams a breather ie they really only have to worry about shutting down one line.Yes, we watch the games. Apart from a handful of games, Zibanejad has played like dog shit. Shove that PPG up your ass, over 50% of his points are coming out of PP. He has 7! 5v5 points in 24 games. That's not good enough.
He's not a creative player. Everything he touches is just his hair.I don't remember saying anything to you about anything and your response is uncalled for.
Secondly, the PP points count. The goals scored matter. This team has wildly exceeded expectations and Mika hasn't even gotten hot yet.
If you have watched this team, you know Mika is one of the streakiest players we have ever had. Yeah there are times when he's not feeling it but then he hits a streak when everything he touches goes in. He will get it going.
Sorry about being rude.I don't remember saying anything to you about anything and your response is uncalled for.

And hey, it could be blip in the road. It could be tired legs and minds. It could be the 12% beer kicking in. We'll see.This. The bad habits are creeping back in.
I only give it 5 more games before @GoAwayPanarin sees the error in his ways and lobbies the mods to change his name to GoAwayZbad...Meeka usually takes 30 games to get going. Not that that's an excuse but just the sad reality. On that history, I will wait another 12 games to like, I unno, bitch some more.
Kakko as well. For all his offensive struggles, he's one of the best defensive forwards on the team. This loss was pretty predictable. This team was tired and hasn't played with urgency for a while. They need to tighten up in the D zone but like I said after last game, fatigue causes defensive breakdowns. This loss means nothing in the long run and they needed an ass kicking anyway. Get rest, practice, and reset. BTW this team really misses Chytil.
Is mobile hfboards ever going to work properly again?
I downloaded DuckDuckGo on my Iphone to use this site lol. Works great, it’s add-free and the cookies bs is gone.
In his presser after the game it sounded to me like he's aware of this and is gonna make some changes. There probably hasn't been much practice time with this asinine schedule and the old habits are creeping back in.The lackadaisical play on their side of the ice has been present for the past several games and they've been getting away with it. I'm not worried at all. They'll be off the ice and looking at video today. In his presser after the game it sounded to me like he's aware of this and is gonna make some changes. There probably hasn't been much practice time with this asinine schedule and the old habits are creeping back in.
Kreider-Zibanejad haven’t worked 5v5 in years, and they’ve never found a RWer for that line. They get their points because they’re talented and feast on the Power Play, but they’re not playing well. Both of those players are averaging nearly a ppg on a team with the best record in the league. Brodzinski had back to back 2 point games with them prior to this one. Do you even watch the games?
I don't think that's entirely fair. They have worked in the past, at least getting success 5v5 as well. Now you can say that their style isn't really the most sustainable and can question its effectiveness come playoffs. But the fact is, in previous years Kreider and Zibanejad have scored 5v5 as well.Kreider-Zibanejad haven’t worked 5v5 in years, and they’ve never found a RWer for that line.
