Lose Chytil early on, Wheeler is a shell of his former self and gets injured as well, Kakko ineffective for most of the season, and yet they still found a way to finish first.

Very professional regular season and that's what Laviolette came to do. Christmas to Bye was really the only hiccup but that was also the busiest part of the schedule with 4 back-to-backs and playing over every other day, so it happens. Other than that, pretty much smooth sailing all year long results-wise.
