None of this president's trophy nonsense matters other than home ice through out the POs which is huge for New York. The Rangers are tied with Colorado for the most home wins in the league this season and that's a real advantage from finishing first overall.

Oh if we want to talk about how meaningful stats are in the playoffs then absolutely nothing matters ever.
