This is not a good look for Boudreau. The Wild had 58 minutes to score 1 goal. Not to mention they got a 5 on 3 last game that was not deserved. I understand being heated after a loss but he should know better that coming across as whiny.

Absolutely. They were given a 5 on 3 that was a gift to them and swayed the outcome of game 3. We had to deal with it, not he has to deal with it.

My favorite was from one poster in the main board thread on the cross check... something along the line of "another dirty hit from this POS"... I was like what was the one before tonight?
Still going back to that hit on Gryz from Boston a few weeks ago & calling that dirty too. Not a chance it was (he totally let up), but yes this looked very bad. Furthest thing from a dirty player or a dirty team

I have no sympathy for the Wild team, it wasn't the fans that directed Boudreau to be a *******.

I have no problem with the people of Minnesota or even the vast majority of their players. In particular, I've said it then and I'll say it again but Mikko Koivu is an absolute class act of a person and deserves far better breaks than he's gotten in his career.

But Boudreau I got an issue with. Nino I got an issue with. Foligno I got an issue with.

Maybe we should hear something for this one? After all the head was the primary point of contact.

Headbutting is an automatic 5min major and a game misconduct in the NHL rulebook....

If I'm not mistaken Chariot took a shot to his nuts right before this as well.

And in this case there is no way you could argue the ref didn't see it either.

So there you go Bruce....

That was a solid road game. I think Jets end it next game. Hopefully in the meantime, the Avs grind down the Preds before next round so that they are good and worn out when they face the rested Jets.

Worse case....Trouba needs to rest his brain from the hits taken, he looks dazed and confused.
Morrissey. ...gets a game or 2
Myers can't go
Enstrom not Ready
Kulikov not ready.

Morrow...Buff
Charoit....Poolman
Niku...not sure ouch
Something definitely wrong with Trouba! That is not him out there. Wonder if he has recovered from the head injury really.

Boudreau is using his presser to lobby the NHL for a suspension of Morrissey. He knows they can't beat our NHL team. He wants to play as much of our AHL team as possible. With Morrissey out, and his goon squad Tonya Harding hit job on Myers we will be down to 2 starting D men.

Of course, the TV coverage will be all about how Staal was cross checked and missed zero shifts last game.

Trouba looked fine to me. He's still getting back to form. Looks better every game. Should be right where we need him for Nashville

I'm thinking JoMo deserves the same suspension Foligno got for the head shot on Trouba and taking out Myers at the knee. Sounds fair to me.

You've got to be "objective" about the Morrissey hit !!! -- what to do ??

If this hit was on Ehlers, Connor, or Scheiffle, us fans would be crying blue murder, have a separate thread about it, and calling for a 5 game suspension.

I think many would agree --if you take the emotion out of this, that all posters would agree, we can't have guys cross checking other players in the face or neck area. If it's not addressed by the league --it will continue to happen.

If you judge by intent -- which I'm inclined to do, I don't think Josh has proven to be a dirty player, and he has quite a mild, placid type personality. From this perspective, and believing it's an accident, I'd find it hard to suspend him for 1-2 games. On the other hand, every time a player does this--"he'll say it was an accident"-- even though it wasn't and his intent was to injure the other player, and knock him out.

With this in mind, what do you think they will do ??? I sort of think he'll get a 1 game suspension and maybe 2, because if the league does nothing, it won't look like they are policing these incidents, and they will start to proliferate.

So do they make their decision on "intent" -- or -- on the "act" itself ????

What I think the NHL will do is-- -"give him a 1 game suspension." ( they will take intent in consideration)

Man, what a whiny team. Between Boudreau and Staal they have enough whine to get the whole state drunk.

Has Staal always been this much of a baby?
I don't blame Staal, that had to hurt. But Boudreau is a whine-box for sure. After sending guys out to beat on our smallest players at the end of game two, and sending Folingo out to head hunt Trouba & knee hunt Myers. After being gifted a 5 on 3 that gave them game 3, he's got the gall to say the reffing has been looking the other way & is costing them. He is the real POS in that org.

Tough game for Trouba last night not all of it was bad, he is playing big minutes and still coming back from his ankle injury, a few mistake nothing I can't live with we need him on our back end.

I agree about the specific Morrissey incident, that couldn't have felt nice. He has just been whining all series.

Yup, agree. Should have been a 2 minute penalty. Staal didn't even miss a shift. League should review it and conclude that it was a missed penalty - no suspension.

Now I think that all posters would agree that shoulder to head checking, knee capping, head butting and face pounding of defenseless players shouldn't happen either and should be addressed by the league. What about Boudreau sending out his goon squad at the end of G2, and Winnick beating the crap out of Tanev, a guy that weighs 30 pounds less than him, including face punches while he is on the ground in a defenseless position all turtled up. What about Foligno's head shot on Trouba. What about Foligno's knee capping of Myers - out for a game, maybe the series, maybe the year. What about the head butt last night on Chairot. That's why I am so pissed off at Boudreau and his whining. The level of hypocrisy is off the chart with Boudreau given his smug response about Foligno and his Tony Harding job on Myers - 'they fell down' <giggle>. But hey, he is lobbying for a suspension of Morrissey because he knows that they can't beat us straight up.

A little late to this party I only watched the highlights unfortunately but I'm glad to see that true to form Hellebuyck bounced back from a subpar performance with a monster one. Great gut check by the team in general and a huge road win.

While Morrisey is generally a very clean player and not i believe him when he says it wasn't intentional, that cross check just looks awful in the replays. I think he needs to be suspended. I even kind of hope he does because if he isn't suspended, after the end of game 2 shenanigans I could see Boudreau put bounties on the heads of our top players in retaliation. As a result game 5 could be really ugly and get out of hand. And worse we could lose some important players.
