Hello Blue Jackets fans,
I'm not sure if this is the right spot for this, so please forgive me/ignore me/ delete this if it isn't.
I'm heading to Cleveland next weekend for a baseball road trip with some buddies, and just didn't know if you folks had any helpful hints. Last year we went to Pittsburgh and HF was very helpful. I know Cleveland isn't Columbus, but I assume it's the closest of the team boards, so I thought I'd give it a shot here.
We aren't crazy partiers, but we can enjoy an adult beverage responsibly.
Any cool landmarks, interesting stuff, general tips, favourites?
Thanks in advance,
Bob

If you're looking for a good cheap breakfast, check out Cafe Miami on the near west side (State Road). It's a little off the beaten path, but well worth it.

If you plan on having a fast food meal, check out Mr. Hero (local chain)

Unfortunately, the coolest landmark in Cleveland is off-limits right now. The Soldiers and Sailors Monument is in on e of the quadrants of Public Square, which is being torn up right now because some people apparently had an issue with car traffic going through it.
There's a park at West 3rd and Lakeside that has statues of Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry (hero of War of 1812 battle of Lake Erie) and Jesse Owens (I don't have to explain who he is, right?)
While our tallest building is Key Tower (tallest building between New York and Chicago), the landmark tower is the slightly shorter Terminal Tower, which contains a shopping mall with some good local dining options (Dough Ray Me pizza and Anderson's BBQ in the food court as well as Tower Deli (lunch spot)/Lincoln Tap House (bar and grille) [same ownership] and Susy's Soup elsewhere in the mall). The top of the tower is lit, usually colorfully. Here is the Terminal Tower lights Twitter account which explains the significance of the colors (often just twitter requests)

Also, there's an iron ore freighter named the William G. Mather docked near the Rock Hall and Science Center on the Lakefront at North Coast Harbor.

I'm sure I'll remember more when I am more awake tomorrow.
