Makes my blood boil that no one in that place thought he'd be a good idea to help Biz.
Well, here in America I'm not sure I can blame them given the propensity of a fight turning deadly due to the proliferation of guns and an increasingly violent population.

Sometimes I wonder if I should just carry around pepper spray, doesn't matter if I have to turn in my man-card, that's an effective way to disable someone acting out without inflicting real damage.

Arizona too. Lots of open carry bros there, always a reassuring sight at a bar. That might be more in the mountains and less populated spaces though - Scottsdale isn't exactly frontier justice land.

Just carry bear mace. No one will revoke your "Man card" for that.

I don't blame anyone for not engaging. You're still putting yourself into a situation where you're heavily outnumbered 2-to-6. You're setting yourself up for a pummeling. Most people there likely had families and you have to consider the danger you put yourself in for their sake. On top of what others have said about guns. Most people wouldn't put themselves in a situation where they are guaranteed to get an ass kicking.

I don't have a man card and don't give a shit about that. Id do what I could without engaging physically in a situation where a single punch and falling backwards into a curb could see my kids without a dad.

What a crew of absolute dipshits in their golf shirts and hats trying to act tough. Grown ass men chasing down a guy all by himself. Solid fade back right hand by Biz though to start.

Biz came in way too hot and probably said something that just escalated the situation though. Putting his hands on an aggressive drunk isn't going to calm him down either.

A better strategy would have been for the floor man to say he'll get them the drinks they asked for, call the cops, and let Biz smooth talk em for a few minutes before they show up.

A few years ago at a protest in Denver some dude maced a guy and got shot dead by him for his trouble. I'd rethink the bear spray idea.

But yeah, it's sad that Biz was on his own there.

The problem with carrying a weapon - especially one that needs to be used at relatively close range - is you’d better know how to use it, else it can be taken away and used against you.

The fact remains there is a very sizable portion of the population with access to firearms who have no business being anywhere near them, way to prone to using them and way too incompetent to use them properly.

Biz is the hero here, but he looked like he went in there and escalated the situation where it boiled over. He was smart though to keep making space for himself.
These cretins were fresh off of getting thrown out of a golf clubhouse for throwing punches at a female waitress. It's safe to say the situation was going to escalate regardless. Biz just took the punches that would've been directed at the staff

Jeez missed that part of the story.

There must be lots of drugs involved. Otherwise this story makes so little sense with these dorks in their tucked in golf shirts and hats going around terrorizing the whole town.
