Altiboobs has the secret ingredient. A billionaire running a monopoly.

Yeah the only reason Altitude survives is Stan is too stubborn to give up.

The whole Bally saga was a mess from the beginning and if you follow the business side of things here, very easy to see coming. In this age of streaming and cord cutting, the RSN is a dying business that needs re-invented.
Yeah, it helps that he owns all the teams they cover, and his only other competition this time of the year is the Broncos, and they play just once a week. Oh, and he/they have the top sports talk radio station in the Denver area now, and they just happen to cover the Donkeys and Rockies as well.

People are finding ways to watch regardless of his battle with Comcast/Dish, which doesn't hurt them for advertising dollars. I really doubt he/they care as long as people are able to watch. I doubt he's losing any money off of it. If he could find a way to get people to stream the games, and pay for it, even at say $5 a month, he could make more.

His advertising money is certainly getting hit... they base those rates off the actually subscribed number and losing Comcast and Dish is huge. Alongside that they don't get the $1 per month per subscriber on those. I'd be shocked if Altitude is anywhere near breaking even. RSNs are just not profitable right now even when they are on every service... let alone when you're missing 1-1.5m potential subs from your prime market.

I just think it’s hilarious that he’s notoriously cheap in so many other ventures but he’s chosen THIS to be the Hill He Dies On.

About the only time I recall him fighting harder was the whole SoFi Stadium business, but at least there he stood to make a massive profit, here there’s no light at the end of the tunnel.

I had this happen to me once at a party in HS. I was drunker than hell and thought it was a cup of water. I didn't even look at it, just grabbed and took a swig. Once it hit my mouth, I immediately knew it wasn't water, and what it was. I spit it out (didn't swallow it thank God), rinsed my mouth out with my beer, and then chugged what was left of my beer. How I didn't puke, I'll never know. All my friends sitting at the table were laughing their asses off at me. Not one of them thought to tell me, "No," or slap the cup out of my hand. Assholes. LOL.
