I mean I think his talent to be a reporter isn’t too far off a lot of other reporters(says a lot about the industry). I just think he doesn’t have the work ethic to be a useful reporter and doesn’t have the right attitude to be successful or work with people. The dude can write incredibly well, but he needs so much validation for work he isn’t willing to put in and it‘s something that’s really put his career in the drain.

I find it weird how he approaches this everything. If you want to move to Substack, or Nutsack, or Buttcrack whatever, don't ask your followers if they will follow. Just go, and if your content is good enough they will follow you. What is he really expecting as a response? "Nah, sorry Dater, Substack is shit, use Medium or Patreon instead" ? Just do what you want, and entice your readers over to the new platform. Pick a platform, and go. What's next, asking his followers what clothes he should wear?
