yeah...it is the best.
they said they're taking it away because many people don't like the schedule (90% of the employees who are on the schedule like it) and they can't sufficiently staff for that schedule.
and i'm pretty sure the second reason is because two employees just left that shift....for reasons other than the shift itself.
basically management is just jumping to conclusions instead of actually looking at the problem.
if the change goes through i'll probably find another job. which is a shame cause i was content where i was.
It's small decisions like that which can kill an organizational culture. If you aren't in any client/customer service, I am all for 100% flex scheduling. My cousin works for a government job for Patent office. He's on pure flex. That means 40 hours any time, any day of the week.
We basically sell to other employers/groups, so we have flex scheduling and a lot of different offered schedules to try to help people with work/life balance. Some people can leave work at 3pm, the flexing people stay til 5. Half have Mondays/half have Fridays. It works. People are happy.
