I have him as 9th on the Colorado d depth chart if they offer him a contract. People can laugh all they want but he would probably be better than every other NHL teams ninth D. Plus that isn’t even considering Justin Barron being there if needed. I do think JJ is a better player than Macdermid but Macdermid is obviously there for other reasons which will put him higher on the depth chart.

MacD is an interesting case. I would not be surprised if he was converted to forward. He is tough as nails and can score, but was a liability on D with the Kings.
Who knows who, your coaches might get through to him in ways ours couldn't or teach him things that the King's coaches didn't

Let's analyze this.

Old moves:
Zadorov has bounced around to Calgary, playing pretty comically bad in Chicago
Cole is Cole, he provides little except his dad appears on the Avs board from time to time

New moves:
Graves may play well in NJ, but he basically cost the Avs the Vegas series and is incredibly soft for his size
Timmins trade. The plan was Murray, who you fail to mention.

I think you're wrong on all counts. Avs D is probably the best Top 6 group in the league.
