I think everyone soured on him some in his last playoffs, including myself, but I'm still glad to see Soda back at that price. He's slow but smart enough to make it work within the style of the team on the bottom six.

We should have never traded him in the first place. Only issue is that he has a pretty bad playoff track record. Hopefully he can thrive in the bottom six role. We don't need him to step up as we did 3 years ago.

I guess as injury insurance he's fine, but I don't think he can contribute all that much anymore.

Soderberg is 7th in points/60 in Chicago this season.

Pretty poor possession metrics this year, albeit on a crap team.

On my keister
Not an exciting get, but we know what he brings. Hopefully he finds a little more offense to go with his workmanship on the PK and the dot.

Its just added depth and they didn't give up anything to get him. I have zero issues with this. Injury insurance for a team who has a horrible history of it plus another C. Why people melting down lol

The one guy we should've brought back, Bernier, we didn't.....

(The trade is fine. Didn't really give up anything, and it's good depth. Same with Nemeth.)
