I saw our best players getting out of our zone and instead of carrying the puck as much as they can in offensive zone, they just dumped the puck once the central line was crossed, they went to the bench exhausted. Habs are not 'possession' puck team this year. It's that bad these days, it might get better, I dunno when. I can see we are still in the deep low moment of our rebuilt. Patience, patience. That's exactly what they do when the opposition cycles the puck, great analogy. We have witnessed 2 minute shifts of our players gassed from simply chasing the play lol, teams even change on the fly with possession in our zone.
Also, what happened to the promise of high tempo hockey? I see most of them dumping the puck and no physical forecheck and speed in attempts to regain it. There is very little if any neutral zone pressure and our young defenders are being exposed and it isn't just because they are inexperienced. There are serious flaws and overall, the team looks worse than last year.
