Ghostisbhere must be worth 3 or 4 1sts on his 3x3 contract
2 full seasons... Caufield and Slaf had a slow first 40 gamesYou would thinks a Habs fan would have some sympathy and understanding about a young player starting slow as Caufield and Slafkovsky just spent the last couple seasons labelled as busts and losers before hitting their stride with a new coach/ more time to develop
Do you believe you could get a 1st and 2nd for Matheson? Either way, a 21 year old with a down year after scoring 10 points less the season before than the guy you just gave 7m+ to seems odd. It's just a bad offer compounded by a terrible takethat doesnt make his value better. All hes proved is that hes having a lot of problems adapting to the NHL. He could improve on another team, or could very well not. For every Lafreniere comparison, and I can give you an Alex Turcotte, Kotkaniemi, or Filip Zadina.
Im saying he had a bad season, and isnt working with CLB, much like Newhook in COL. What did COL end out getting for him? a late 1st and 2nd.
62P Dman is worth nothing, gotcha. Kent Johnson is still a top 5 pick value.Alright guys lets pack it up and wait another week or so until another delusional habs fan makes another thread trying to trade matheson/savard to another team. I think we are like 1/4th of the away to have a trade proposal to every single team in the NHL!!! sheesh LOL
at the TDL? for sure.... have you not seen what teams pay now? See Ben Chiarot amongst othersDo you believe you could get a 1st and 2nd for Matheson? Who makes these trades at the deadline? Teams making a run. You think there's teams making a run that need a PP qb that isn't good defensively? Chiarot was the exact opposite.62P Dman is worth nothing, gotcha. Kent Johnson is still a top 5 pick value.

Funny because when he was on Pit, he scored substantially less and they were contenders. No he is not reminiscent of those 2 bums. He put up points on a one line team. He likely puts up 75+ points on a contender. They would have to put up with his occasional brain farts though.
Yes it is ridiculous beause neither will be moved until the trade deadline at the earliest. And of course to a team that actually needs what they provide which Columbus doesn't.
PP QBs are usually not good defensively.... but yes a team looking to improve their PP2 in the playoffs, why not? zone exits, first pass out are very important parts of the game as well that arent always easy to findWho makes these trades at the deadline? Can you show me a contender last year or this year that needs him and will offer a 1st and 2nd? I'm seriously struggling to see how a guy who'll likely be a pp2 is worth that when he'll need to be sheltered. Would you trade him straight up for Mailloux or Roy?PP QBs are usually not good defensively.... but yes a team looking to improve their PP2 in the playoffs, why not? zone exits, first pass out are very important parts of the game as well that arent always easy to find
The team's power play issues are more coaching-related than Habs-fan-poaching-fantasy related.well hes defiintely a massive step up from 37 year old Jack Johnson who may not last 20 games.... Unless Mateychuk makes the team, they do need someone to do better on the PP2 considering how Provorov and Severson only had about 30P each last season.
So if that's the case, why on earth would the Jackets trade him now?Johnson coming off a horrible season, was even put on the 4th line. What do you seriously expect the Jackets to get in return?
Okay, now we're getting into straight up absurdist fantasy land. KJ isn't even readily available, let alone being actively shopped.in terms of what? CLB are the ones wanting to trade him away.
He isn't, but only because we'd rather keep him than trade him for a pick in that 6-10 range. Go top-5 and you might get somewhere, if there's someone available at the draft in that range that would fit into the future roster plans. It's unlikely, though, because we're trying to move on to developing what we have now - a lot like Montreal, actually. You guys are talking like KJ is worth a top 10 pick here. Please.
I say hell nowho says no?
provided Matheson re-signs (2 years left)
Even if we pretend all the things you say are true. The BJs don't want Matheson for the same reason you don't want him. The fact is he won't be contributing to winning hockey on either franchise. Both these teams aren't going to be even in the playoffs for the life of Matheson's contract.PP QBs are usually not good defensively.... but yes a team looking to improve their PP2 in the playoffs, why not? zone exits, first pass out are very important parts of the game as well that arent always easy to find
I'm just glad they moved on from Zegras.Another Habs fan proposal of spare parts the other team has no need for. The other fan base says no for a number of reasons. Habs fans will now spend pages pumping up their spare parts while disparaging the player they want.
Rinse and repeat for the next Habs thread.
He also played for a coach that broke up Chinakhov-Voronkov-Marchenko, the only exciting line we had that could score and get other broadcasts to say something positive about the team. The reason? They started playing like the "globetrotters". We had a trash coach for the team that hated offense and creativity. He was 100% a system coach and didnt care about the players he had he just wanted his horrible system played. Basically the exact opposite of St.Louis who let his young offensive players keep their cofidence and play to their strengths while taking some time to build up their weaknessessee my post above.... this isnt Cutter Gauthier here. Johnson coming off a horrible season, was even put on the 4th line. What do you seriously expect the Jackets to get in return?
Seriously. What Vincent was doing to those talented kids was a crime. KJ and others not put in any sort of position to succeed whatsoever. So relieved CBJ will be getting a new coach this season. He also played for a coach that broke up Chinakhov-Voronkov-Marchenko, the only exciting line we had that could score and get other broadcasts to say something positive about the team.
