Real still trying to be too cute, too many passes in tight trying to find a picture perfect goal. That's not remotely working against a team that's as solid defensively as Spurs.

Great point that the Spurs goal came from Kane pressuring the 'd' to play the ball out for a throw instead of going for a goal kick. His work rate is really phenomenal.

Dortmund looking very average against APOEL. Nice interchange between Kagawa and Guerreiro created our only goal. APOEL hasn't really threatened, but we need to do a better job.

Yea that was a smart play by him. Faked like he'd give up and the defender bought it and totally stopped moving allowing Kane to threaten to get past him and forcing a cheap clearance and throw.

It's results between teams that matter, not goal differential.

Anyway, Kroos is having another stinker. And Verratti was dominant yesterday.
Yet I can't hear a certain poster :D

To make matters clear : BVB has 4 points right now, Real 7. If BVB beat Real by more than the first leg between the two teams, they have to beat Spurs at home to go through regardless of the Real/Apoel result.

Lots of ifs, but perfectly doable.

Real is not out of danger of missing out the qualificaiton too.

As long as they don't get blown out or lose to APOEL, they're safe. Even finishing out the loss today and only beating APOEL 1-0 would leave them likely heading into the final matchweek needing to lose to Dortmund by 3-4 goals.

Edit: NM thought overall group GD was ahead.

So basically RM needs to avoid losing by 2+ goals to Dortmund or dropping points to APOEL.

3 goals in fact. Since Real won 3-1 at BVB, Dortmund needs to win 3-0 since 2-0 won't be enough.

Dortmund game is tied up. Hold your horses guys.

Can't even begin to describe how bad that defending was. Second line of defense didn't rush back to mitigate the 3 on 2 and defenders were way too passive and didn't block any space when they outnumbered the opponent. Bosz is wrong: you can play entertaining football and not be this clueless defending counters.

I'm not trying to take away credit from Spurs because they absolutely deserve it in destroying Madrid at both games. However, this is probably the best time to play against RM, they are lacking a lot of confidence right now.

You don't see Marcelo get abused too often, but Spurs ran over him in the 1st half down the right flank.
