People are missing the writing on the wall.

He's there cause Vegas is trading for Kane.

Best buddies reunite!

GOOD LUCK Mr. Excitement!

You been a great ambassador to the WINNIPEG JETS.

Hope you don't score your patented toe drag, when you come visit here.
And don't fight Laine or Ehlers also.

Thanks!!!

He will be back with the organization in some capacity next season.
He had full disclosure for sure about this .

Well, it looks like Chris Thorburn's time with the Jets has officially come to an end. :shakehead

Hopefully he continues to kick absolute ass down south in Vegas.

Kind of playing fast and loose with the word 'continues' there aren't we?

m.

LMAO. "we have not closed the door on Thorburn". If he's resigned I am getting his jersey. too good haha.

Why couldn't Chevy have just thanked Thorburn for his service with the organization and suggested perhaps in the future an off ice role could be available to him if he wished? Instead he leaves the door open to bring him back.:shakehead as a player.

The only good news is the video confirmation that Chevy isn't up at his cottage right now.;)

With 3 games left to play in the 2015 regular season Thorburn scores this beauty ensuring that the Jets ability to make the playoffs jump from 20% to 80% and we did make it to the playoffs in 2015 in large part to this goal

He will be back in front office
He will not be a roster player

Good news, everyone! :sarcasm:

Good lord.

I would have closed the door, locked it, changed the locks, moved out with no forwarding address, arranged to have the property and its door bulldozed and carted away, filled in the hole with concrete and sold it to InPark.

I hope hope hope Chevy was joking.

I think he get's a one year two way deal (if that's even possible). I really love the guy and would like him in the organization, just not on the ice.

You are correct and he will sign here....but front office.
I think his playing days are done.
I think TNSE loves him and he loves them.
My guess is they told him ahead of time if he was selected they'd have his back.
He's seems like a real nice person and I'd hate to see him take further abuse.
Whatever happens I wish him the best.

I'd be happy to see him in the front office - I agree that he probably doesn't need to have any more knuckles bouncing off his head, and that he should hang them up. Seems like a great guy though, and having him as a part of the organization wouldn't be a bad thing if he can contribute in some manner.
