Da Big Apple
jesus f***ing christ lmao come on man.

not only is it a ridiculous premise, you went 0 for 2 on spelling of these guys names.
premise is ridiculous? sez you

premise here is bread has nmc = check
and is family happy here so not waiving in general = check
but maybe waives for close enuf = also check

premise not ridiculous
value is top $ demanded but that is Panarin at almost half

Rs are more likely to keep Kreider, who defies aging short term and may play in top condition another 3 or so yrs before graceful exit another 2-ish yrs after that, unlikely to overcharge Rs relative to his production

Rs not gonna offer anything near $ amount or term bread wants
Panarin smart enuf to see that and will waive before end of next yr
tho not likely this yr unless close - maybe

It's a high cap hit for a guy who went from 77 to 64 to 75 points. Which version re you getting? Likely the 54 point one given his age. He also has a 15 team NTC so that limits options. & hes on pace for 41 points this year.
If you're getting any of those versions then it really doesn't make a difference at that cap hit, especially since all those versions were above 30 goals. Whether or not that's what you're getting might be a different story.

How about Josh Anderson? Two big guys that might benefit from a fresh start. Two more years left each. Kreider is more talented, but also 3 years older.

Rangers would save 1M cap hit per year.

Habs looking for offense while Anderson is not penciled in their top 6.

Just a thought.
Yes let’s give you the best net-front player in the league for your problem. C’mon people. Kreider is getting at the very least a 1st and a good prospect.

Kreider for Frederic? Posted the same in the Bruins-Rangers thread. Rags get a younger player they can extend, B's hopefully get scoring help.
No. Kreider is good and has value and will fetch a decent return. The Rangers are only entertaining the idea because Panarin, Lafreniere, Cuylle, Othmann, Berard, and Perreault are all natural LWs. We aren’t trading Kreider for another LW, especially one way worse like Frederic.
