It would be nice to see some even strength production. Are these power play goals really going to continue later in the playoffs and later in series when PPs go down?

Kreider really getting to a point where he's creating a legacy. Dude has figured out ways to get better throughout his career and man... That contract has turned out well. He's even an excellent leader.

Right now he's almost a cheat code with the tip-ins. We win a Cup, and his jersey is definitely hanging.

If Kane plays like last night, the production will come even strength

The most underrated and under appreciated Ranger great, dare I say it, of all time. A few more years of this and get ready for a ceremony down the road. And Zibby isn't far behind.
No question about it. If he had one game that isn’t a monster game fans all of a sudden call for him to be traded lol. You can’t replace a player like him at least right now

The reason I was on board with the Kreider extension when it was given was that even if he lost a step, you could see his game had developed in other ways that would still make him very useful. He's become the best net-front presence in the league (the poor NJ defenders just have no answer for him), he's willed himself into a terrific PKer, and even then he still has great speed, if a bit less than he once had.

Honestly if the Kreider we've seen the last two years is the Kreider we get the next two years, I'll consider the contract a bargain even if he sucks over the final two seasons.

CK is so effective but he is such an interesting case. His game in the last few years is nothing like the super fast flying down the wing, power hitting, snapshot taking guy he was earlier in his career. So ironic that one of the best skaters in Rangers history scores most his goals 1-4 feet away from the net.

I hate to do this, as this may make some of you nauseous...

But I give full credit to Alain Vigneault for the player Kreider has become.

He legit came here and saw Kreider and was like "I need a Ryan Kesler type to deflect pucks."

And he basically forced Kreider to get good at it. I seem to recall AV forcing Kreider to watch Ryan Kesler positioning.

not that i want to give that clown an ounce more credit than i have to but he took it even a step further by putting Kreider on the net front of PP1 over Callahan pretty much immediately. Easy to forget Callahan was one of the best net front guys in the league for a few years and AV tossed him off for a rookie. in hindsight, that took balls

I wonder how he would look if he had to play on a line with Matthew Tkachuk ??? Would we see a different Kreider on more occasions ?
